This is a dangerous attitude. I can’t be your friend because of your political positions? That rings of Mao and the Cultural Revolution.
“I cant be your friend because of your political positions?”
I’m more diplomatic about it, but I understand the sentiment. I couldn’t stand the presence of someone who could ignore the evils of Obama or Hillary; I could work with them, live next door to them, etc. - but I’d never trust them, and could never like or respect them.
Think of what these people have in mind for us and our children, and it becomes very clear.
That is the attitude of most people in Minnesota.
Cars with hateful bumper stickers are vandalized or run off the road. And its considered exercising the right of political expression.
I don’t know how dangerous that is. I can’t be friends with leftists, I like intelligent friends.
I only have so much time in a day, and no point in elevating my blood pressure over leftards.
I have run into this with many leftists.
I say little to nothing anymore.
“That rings of Mao and the Cultural Revolution.”
Reeducation. Self Criticism. If they can gather enough power, then that is in the cards for those of us they deem redeemable. The rest of us, well, I don’t know about you but I’m going down fighting.
