I think at that time the brackets were used in a sense meaning he was [boxed in]. Who knows what was going on, what they had over him to force himself to recuse. The whole thing was kabuki theater on the surface but apparently a deadly knife fight going on behind the scenes. Muller compromised Gen’l Flynn by threatening his children; he did the same thing to the POTUS and somehow POTUS wriggled out of the hold.
