Being mildly interested in whether I should start any long books, when did the clock start in the 12 years?

If it was last month, then I can be comfortable in finding out whodunit.

If it was 11 years ago, last December, well...

If they really believe the world will end in 12 years why do they also want to give everyone free college? Not much point in giving someone a college education if they will be dead in a few years.

AOC, Beto, and the 12 years till death.

Not really. They said about 2 months ago, that we had 12 years. So that means that we have 11 years and 10 months. Ya' gotta' count down.

Instead of climate nonsense, maybe a class in Marshall law?
Hard to read the rest of the article, once I got to that one.

There was a sort-lived TV series a few years ago, about how people reacted to learning that the moon had mysteriously shattered, and the fragments were going to smash into earth in an inexorable approach and the resulting demise of all life as known before.

Perhaps this kind of apocalyptic future is what inspires the doomsday scenarios that seem so beloved of our magical thinkers. But as noted elsewhere, there is no viable branch of scientific inquiry that even points to any such outcome.

What we see is the practice of a cult known as “scientism”, a belief in the holy power of according some few glib and persuasive individuals to take a few known facts, and to extrapolate these facts into an untested theory, bending and ignoring contrary findings, and “predicting” only the very worst of outcomes. While this makes for great “science fiction”, the emphasis is on the FICTION and not the science.

After all, the great L. Ron Hubbard founded a whole religion on speculation about “what if” the human psyche could be reduced to a few mixed messages received early in life? And the mixed messages could be drawn out and reassessed?

Thus was born the cult of Scientology.

My family and I are good Democrats and would like to plan out our last days but we don’t have the necessary info we need to develop these plans. Since 99% of the scientists and 100% of Democrat pols know that we are going to be incinerated in 12 years, we have called dozens of pols and scientists offices for more info on how this is going to play out. So far they either laugh at my question and hang up or simply hang up on me. Here are our two options as I see them:
1. The temp will stay basically the same as it is today then suddenly, one day 12 years from now, the temp goes up in one day from 70 deg to 1000 deg and we all burn up? If that is the case, we will all go our seperate ways, for now, get back together in 12 years, and all hold hands as we suddenly incinerate or
2. The temp goes up 100 deg immediately after the Nov 2020 election day “if” Trump is re-elected followed by 100 deg steps each year for 12 years. If this is the case, we will all either die from the heat or commit suicide immediately after the 2020 election since we do not want to suffer.

So far, no Democrat pol or 99% climate scientist in my blue district has been able or willing to explain to me how or when this increase in temp is going to happen.

I am not joking here. If we are really going to die from global warming in 12 years, the scientists and Dem pols must already know how it will play out over that period.

In summary, maybe by asking Dems to explain how this temp rise is going to play out will help them see how foolish they are.

I’m thinking if we just have 12 years to live, shouldn’t we kill all the prisoners whose sentences exceed 12 years? I mean, they’ll be no good to us and imagine the carbon savings.

Has anyone ever seen any references to this 12 years? I am curious to find out if I should be buying any 30 year bonds.

Shouldn’t they be saying 11.8 years now? If the number was real when ACO blurted it out then contrary to liberal understanding, NUMBERS MEAN THINGS!

“I see armed conflict, anarchy, murder, and revolution, in our future.”

I am a firm believer in that history repeats itself, always.

Every so often there is a world war. Many of the wars before WWI were actually wars of the known world at that time. And there will always be civil wars, wars of insurrection, rebellion or whatever you want to call them. This is human nature.

My point is your prediction above will come true someday. The only question is on which day? Will it be a result of the current struggles between worldwide elitism and nationalism? Will it be decades down the road over some other issues?

Admiral Yamamoto supposedly said behind every blade of grass will be a rifle. I belief this was a great deterrent also during the cold war, keeping the USSR from staring anything.

My point here, is once they start fiddling with the 2A, that could be the worldwide trigger to revolt against the elites.

If the risk is a new Ice Age then maybe we should do something. What the hell we could possibly do remains a mystery to be explored another day.

If the risk is Global Warning, cool. We could live with tropical heat, even desert heat, a lot easier than trying to scratch out a living in Greenland. Sea levels have risen dramatically over the last few thousand years so more would be unfortunate but not fatal.

And the question repeats ... what the hell could we do to reliably halt warming? As if we wanted to.

Love these long range ‘predictions’

Remember back in the ‘dark ages’ (1970s +) when ‘WE’ wanted to drill for oil in the ocean, north slope etc etc etc and all the pols were het up on it and raring to go?

Then a wag would come along and say...

“Lets try something different, besides - it will be 6 (pick a #) years before any production starts, SO the pols would ‘shelve’ it for the ‘new technology’.

About 6 years later, the discussion would come up with the same faux enthusiasm, same (or new) wag with same ‘explanation’.

Well, after 5 or 6 (It will be 6 YEARS before anything flows) you would think ‘WE’ would catch on and figure someone/thing is blowing smoke where the sun don’t shine.

Same with the ‘end of the world’ predictions and yes, if one TRULY believes it is all going to end in 12 years, why would anyone ‘worry’ about retirement, wars, taxes etc etc etc or for that matter, ‘plan for the future’

Guess the only hope is to try and convince those that believe it that it will be so ‘terrible’, may as well OFF YOURSELF NOW and get it over with.

Sort of the same idea of wishing that all the MILITANT PRO-ABORTION TYPES had parents that thought the same way they supposedly do.

I want to apologize for misspelling martial law to the spelling Nazi's at 3am. I plead 3am and trying to get to bed without proof reading what I wrote.

Instead of concentrating on that, I wanted to draw attention to the growing number of Dems that are quoting this 12 year number. I can tell you that if they truly believe that, there is nothing they won't do to save their lives if they are elected. Even if they don't believe that, they have an army now that does.

They are complaining about Trump using a National Emergency for the fence, and already saying they will do the same for global warming and gun control.

I was interested that some of the responses said they would declare it healed if they are elected, sorta like the oceans would recede with Obama. The purpose for me writing this is to state that some of these morons believe this stuff. They cry when they see smoke emitting from a smoke stack or me driving my Chevy Truck. Now they are raising a whole new army of young skulls full of mush that leave school to carry their printed sign issued by Soros and the teachers make it possible for them to misspell "martial law" instead of doing their fractions.

If you look at the enemy's strategy, they are winning even if we rest in Trump at the wheel. They aren't going to give up on gun control or climate change( or abortion or sodomy)until they get what they want. People that don't see a problem killing a child after he leaves the womb won't have a single problem executing someone that thinks the climate is fine. This is becoming a meme now like the Hogg guy that had instant fame and a bull horn after the school shooting in Fla. They are able to whip up emotions no matter how crazy to subject is. I was just trying to show how dangerous these climate morons might be if elected.

I live in Texas and my pucker string was drawn as tight as I could get it on election night with Cruz and Beto. If they flip Texas, Conservatives will never win another election.

What will be DEAD in twelve years will be this country.

Because enough of us will be DEAD that Millenials who actually buy into this crap will be in the position of deciding the outcomes of elections.

Let’s assume the climate stays pretty much like it is for the next several years. I personally think it will unless the Lord returns within that time. What would stop the liberals from claiming that the climate remaining normal would be due to their efforts & they needed a little more regulation(and money of course)so it might remain that way? I realize this sounds a bit far-fetched, but maybe no more so than the ridiculous schemes they are proposing now. A situation like this could play on for a long time if people were dumb enough to fall for it.
