Trump has previously soft-pedaled his responses when asked about the criticism, saying that “I just don’t have the time to speak to her.” He also said she’s “off the reservation.” However, he’s avoided the full-throated attacks he’s mustered against other perceived enemies – until now.

Was this in reply to something Coulter said very recently? Otherwise I don’t see the point of this attack.
Nobody likes an @sshole who yells insults from the bleachers but couldn't do a damn thing on the field of play for a billion dollars.
He’s right and Ann’s right. I would have put up temp fencing and piled 10’s of thousands of miles of concertina wire day one while the wall was being built. Sent as many troops as needed not to let anyone in. No asylum seekers at all. EVERYONE gets turned back. Shot if they don’t.

Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline

Well said, especially the “day one” part. And it would have sent a message to the folks in Central America who were just packing their bags. Might as well unpack.
Would that have been completely, entirely legal? Who cares! String the barbed wire and let the courts sort it all out later.

The validity and value of criticism depends not on the decorum or nature of the critic but what was in fact was noted and said. Coulter was not the only critic who wondered how such a biased Democratic bill that astonishgly contained authorization and funding for Democratic pet projects passed a Republican controlled House and Senate and was signed quickly by the President. There were and are many who felt that to “avoid a government shutdown” many voted for that bill without reading what experienced Democratic staffers put in it and the White House staff was equally negligent in not reading it thoroughly. Instead of advising the President to sign it, they should have wrote a clear speech outlining just why it had to be vetoed and Congress would have to reconvene. IMHO Trump wishes he never signed that bill and should have seized the moral high ground and fought. His base supporters expected him to do that. Coulter was not the only Trump supporter to be disappointed. Personally remain a strong supporter and shudder for the nation if any Democrat is elected in 2020. However feel his recent confrontations with Congress have been very poorly thought out and have been politically debilitating tactical failures. He has always had the constitution authority to simply order the Army Corp of Engineers to build a security wall barrier on the southern frontier. Coulter is right. If for whatever reason the wall is not built, he will not be reelected. chaos will follow for the American nation.

Ann Coulter is too ugly to be a conservative.
Coulter could have kept her criticism of Trump constructive, but she chose to exaggerate his mistakes, to attack him personally, and to seek publicity from the wrong crowd. Now she’s burned her bridges with him — and with many who used to enjoy her gutsy intellect.
Is there a difference between a whack job and a wacky nut job? I think they are two different words.
Good analysis there! Trump promised us a wall. “A big, beautiful wall.” Not just sections of a wall, but a wall. All of us here know Trump can’t do it alone. But he let 2017 and 2018 slip by. Those were two golden years. So yeah, it’s not all - or even mostly - Trump’s fault. But the buck does stop with him. And in that Coulter is right.
Side note: A couple of paragraph breaks in your post would have been nice.
