The first thing I learned upon buying a PC was that I needed a second one to use to figure out how to fix the first one that I had been experimenting with.

My new PC is due to arrive from Dell by 3/14. If all goes well (fingers crossed), the set up & copying (of what can be copied) from the defunct PC should take place on that weekend...

Last time I emailed Pookie18 about Today's Toons being down (because I send him my own memes to post to Today's Toons) was on 2/26.

He said his hard drive had crashed and he needed a new PC. Then someone had to format it so he could receive and post the TT images.

He also said he did not know how long it would take to fix the problem.

And so all of us TT fans must wait and go through withdrawals.

Good luck to Pookie18 in getting TT back up and running again.

If I may offer one piece of advice. Back up all your work to a secondary hard. I use the type below but there are other options; even secure cloud storage. Well; as secure as anything can be these days I guess...

I’m exceptionally fond of these hard drive docking stations that accept every kind available. You can also clone a drive so if if your main goes out; you have a backup you previously cloned. If you have been backing up the data on a regular basis; you can then transfer the backups to the cloned drive. All quite quick and fairly seamless. Very little downtime that way too.
