OF COURSE, the judges have to go on stage. Good grief.
beats dish washing
Thank you for everything! I’ll post some thoughts on the season tomorrow.
I fell asleep but heard a commotion. Laine. Ok. Back to sleep. Night all.
And Jonny...thank you for this years thread and all the previous years. It has been an honor porticipating. God bless.
THANK YOU JONNY!!! xxxooo
Well, this wasn't the worst season. (The Minaj/Mariah season still holds that prize). But it sure was the dullest.
Thank goodness it was mercifully short.
As always, the friends on this thread are far more important than any TV show. You make these fun and worthwhile.
If they squeeze yet another season out of this turnip, I guess we can be here again to laugh at the results :)
Take care and I'll see you around FR!
Think yelling Hardy
Kid has a very bright future, glad he won!
Mega thanks Jonny for enduring this one. You keep us interested and engaged regardless of the worth of the show.
Kudos also to thread snarkers, posters, you are more fun than the show , and maybe someday we will all will be the virtual judges with live posted commentary.
Now that would be really innovative
I'm not a big fan of a song that just repeats the title, perhaps with the exception of Hey Jude.
Just when you thought they couldn't do any worse. Katy saying this isn't karioke, yet the winner, Laine is basically just that. Alehandro needed to sing some non-originals, and Madisen singing Kelly Clarkson was horrible, because Kelly Clarkson is horrible.
Agree on all counts.
It is speculated that they are looking at cutting costs. Katy Perry is their highest paid talent at $20 million a year, Ryan Secrest is locked into a long term deal with ABC. Word is that they are negotiating with the three judges to return, but nothing is set in stone.
Where do they go from here? Just my two cents...in their attempts to be too kind, there is not enough constructive criticism past the final 10. Just more of "you are wonderful crap". Also, shorten up the shows. Two hours (and three for the finale) is too much. Stream line it and keep it moving, we all have lives to get to.
Anyways what makes this show is jumping on the thread with such friends like you and the gang. I'll be back next year but ABC please don't make me regret it:)
No kidding, even during the top 20 I hardly hear it.
Ha!
I just watched it. Don't know what to think ... mixed feelings.
Some things were fitting. Others were ... wait, that's it!?
And why was all this crammed into 6 episodes? Surely HBO would have been happy to give them more time.
Wasnt she the rocker with the ratty hair or dreads or something?
Skunk hair and Beetlejuice pants :-D
"You will bend the paw!"
From her Twitter page. She's unapologetically pro-Trump and anti-socialist.

Bug, you'll like this. Amanda is now a LPN in Indiana and a Colts fan :)
Amanda holds a bachelor's in business management from Indiana Wesleyan University and a master's of jurisprudence in health law from Indiana University.
Im clueless. But, I like.
I can't think of anyone to replace them--not because they're irreplaceable, but because no one else wants the job :)
Luke is the most useless. Replace him with Pat Benetar, and keep Professor Lionel and Katy. That could be a good combination.
Just my two cents...in their attempts to be too kind, there is not enough constructive criticism past the final 10. Just more of "you are wonderful crap".
Their praise for these kids is so over the top. The Somalie Pirate probably thought he could actually win the show, then the judges didn't even use their save to keep him.
Also, shorten up the shows.
Amen! Two hours is plenty of time--IF they have a good reason for it. Most shows could be an hour.
Three hours is torture!
