For some reason, many MANY black singers need to check to be sure it wasnt stolen right before they came onstage

LOL

She’s really good. Older and mature. I like her.

This Jason Mraz duet would be a lot better WITHOUT Jason Mraz.

I wanted to hear the whole song with Ainsley--I mean Ashley--on piano.

Ashley plays a nice piano. She’ll be at worst, a great lounge act at the Holiday Inn when this is all over. The guys needs to shut up and let her sing more.

I wish it had been a little faster and they could have had more fun with it.

Jon, there’s NEVER enough bacon.

You make a valid point and I can't argue with your logic :)

They should bring on Neil and Pat for the rest of the show. Love hearing them.

Did Idol ever have a Pat Benetar night? Can't remember.

I miss the old days when they would dedicate an entire week to one artist or group--and if it was Elton John week and you were left with "Crocodile Rock", too bad :)

I agree. I also miss the really, really stupid dancing and singing, ala Brady Bunch.

Shaggy and ... Bumbly.

Meh.

And I find it hard to believe that a girl could sing alone in a NYC subway.

My favorite episode ever was a Beatles week back when Chakeezi, David Cook, and Amanda Overmeyer were among the performers. It made you forget it was a contest, like Lionel just said, and soak it in as entertainment.

And reggae still sucks.

This is actually a bit cute. But vocally she only gets to sing the chorus.

Shaggy's dance moves looks like a dog that's searching for a place to pee.

Or as I tell my dog on his walk
when he gets reluctant, “Give piss a chance.”
