Riiiiiight.
Tell your friend to eat more red meat and buy a new gun. That will fix him right up.
My doctor told me that if I started using testosterone gel that I would need to continue forever. If I stopped, the crash would be unbearable. He said it was for extreme cases only, not just for a “boost”. OTC testosterone boosters are basically snake oil. Get in the gym and lift some heavy things instead.
Never hear of them, but low testosterone is a chronic health issue and should be addressed more often with medical professionals. I had an Rx for testosterone a while back but was still unable to see improvement. The doc could not emphasis enough that I should not allow my wife or kids to ever touch the gel I had to apply.
If these clinics are staffed by MD’s and PA’s, they might be worth a look.
A diet high in soy products definitely increases hormones
Why would you need a center? Just get a decent doctor, ask for a t blood test, if low or borderline low, try a low dose transdermal (through your skin - gel or cream) testosterone, and sit back and enjoy. If you are a female take 1/2 the dose they recommend for females. We dont need very much. T is a well being and strength hormone. We all need it. Dont take anything by mouth and its not going to cause cancer. Injections or transdermal only.
Test came out a little high (15)
So started taking Saw Palmetto
Got 2 more (free) follow up PSA tests and last one was low single digit (no pun intended)
I considered ordering some of those Low T pills, but first ask my doctor to test for low T.
You would have thought I’d asked for a ticket to the Moon, but I finally prevailed. A little bit to my disappointment the test showed I had normal levels and so I didn’t do anything
A simple blood test ordered by your doctor will determine if your friend has low T or not. Probably not. It’s incredible how many ailments people think they have simply from reading the internet or watching the TV commercials......
Testosterone naturally decreases with age.
You can get Testosterone via trans-dermal patches but this synthetic testosterone has a HIGH risk of cancer.
None of the “pills” work.
You can nominally improve your testosterone levels by lifting HEAVY weights and eating red meat.
Besides that...not much else you can do.
I take a daily testosterone booster supplement. Works like a champ. I also eat red meat and recently bought a gun.
I was referred to an endocrinologist who managed mine. I didnt respond to the rub-on testosterone products, now get a shot weekly. My body flat stopped making T.
I loathe those advertisements. Replace fat with muscle through fitness. No one needs roids to be a man.
Been on testosterone gel for some time. You need to discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks and have frequent follow up consultation including blood tests. Long term risks are not well known. Some studies have shown a possible association with increased risk of prostate cancer
Go to your doctor and have them order a simple blood test to determine your testosterone level. If they see that the level is below the normal healthy range they can order FDA approved replacement treatments that are covered by your insurance. There are specific clinical symptoms of low testosterone that a doctor can identify. Don’t diagnose yourself based on a paid spokesman for some supplement vendor on TV. Male libido enhancement products have been sold to men since the first witch doctor in Africa realized the opportunity this represented.
The owner prided himself on turning 90-lb weaklings into something nobody in his right mind would want to "mess with." He was most proud of turning, in 20 years, one particular 90-lb high school kid with polio into 275 lbs of solid muscle who could walk up to a parking meter and bend it over to the ground. Think he had a low T problem? I don't think so!
My advice to the original poster: Eat right, find a good gym, stay away from drugs, don't be in a rush.
Kinda like fishing lures, designed more to catch fishermen than fish... d;^)
Go see a regular endocrinologist. Low testosterone is very difficult to diagnose correctly.
