How would FR know who got paid by the left unless the person admitted it? That isn’t effective for the trolls or paid posters.
Exactly, because IIRC, all you have to do to post on any thread is just sign up. I have no idea unless that Freeper has shared the information what that person does for a living, where they live, etc. We can look at their posts on other threads to kind of scope them out but otherwise we’re in the dark.

Who cares if they are paid or not? My point is that trolls are trolls. I have seen posts that keep insisting the trolls are paid, it makes no difference to me. Why is free republic allowing trolls on select threads.
Here’s a question, have you ever had a post you wrote removed because it was so hateful or vulgar? I know I haven’t. A few months ago, on the main forum we were getting a lecture that we should stop calling long time freepers, trolls. It just so happened that the same night, Eddie01 , long time freeper, came to a q thread and wrote some of the most vulgar posts. I copied one and took it to the main forum on the thread about being nice to long time freepers. Needless to say, my repost of his comment was removed, as were all of his comments on the q thread. I thought for sure, something would have happened to him due to, what looked to be drunk posting on a Sat. night. But, Sunday afternoon, there he was again, on the main forum, like nothing had ever happened.
Or, how about having threads pulled because you are so insulting. I have witnessed at least 3 threads get pulled. It seems to always happen right about the time Windflyer comes in and calles all q folks “cultists”. For a Christian forum, this is wildly insulting. Obviously, the mods know it too, but has anything ever happened to Windflyer? Of course not.
At about the same time, bagster was suspended. Do you know why? He was having a back and forth with a”long time freeper” ahem / troll. The next day the same topic came up, so bagster pinged him. The “long time freeper” complained to the mods that bagster was stalking him. Seriiously. The Q team has lost several other great freepers due to banning. the latest being Jocko. Yet, the “long time freepers” nothing ever happens to them. Odd huh. That is why I don’t think they are DNC trolls. But really, in the big picture, it doesn’t matter, and that is not the expectations we should have of this premier site.
