A South Carolina man was surprised to find some unwanted house guests when he returned home last week -- a woman and her children had made themselves at home.
Kent Foster told FOX Carolina he went to his home in Union, South Carolina, after work to find that the furniture had been moved and someone had smoked inside. He called 911 after he heard noises inside his home.
Police went to the residence where Savannah Rhinehart, 25, allegedly told officers she lived there. Her two children were also there with her.
"When she opens the door, the first thing she [Rhinehart] says is, 'Can I help you?' Yeah, the first thing you can do is leave my house," Foster told FOX Carolina.
Foster said he noticed Rhinehart was wearing his wifes clothes.

All I can think to do is pray for this woman and her children.
He hadn’t opened his mouth yet.
Then he’d have been out of luck with that anchor baby. Keep the kid and boot the mother.
“Furniture had been moved around”...
..everybody thinks they’re an interior decorator...
Anyone can smash a window.
Meth heads are lethal types of nutjobs. There are numerous cases of them knocking on doors asking to be let in, and killing the occupants gruesomely.
Another thing, never announce on Facebook or social media that you will be out of the house for an extended length of time.
Ugly Liberal Criminal is a hell of a way to go thru life!
No Kidding!! When we lived in London and went away on “holiday”, I was always afraid I would come home to SQUATTERS! And you CANNOT get rid of them easily, if at all!!
From the Golden Age Of Rush. “Ain’t Got No Home” of similar.
Had a girlfriend back in the day who took it upon herself to make a copy of my apartment key. Needless to say, that didn’t last long after that.
"Well, it's like, she needs a house.! And you have a house! And she needs it!"
it just seems that way because nothing at all else happens around here (which is the way we like it)
In Florida, because she has a child, she cannot be evicted and the owner will be required to keep the utilities paid. He may not be allowed to enter the house if the woman gets a restraining order against him. One should not allow a woman who has a child into the house if one doesn’t know that she has a place to live.
Yhere is no real private property in land in this country. When the government can tell you what you can build or whether you can cut a tree or dig a pond or a government unit can take the property in some sort of civil forfeiture scam or eminent domain you do not own the property. You have some revocable privileges to the property and have to pay fees (taxes) for those privileges on it.
That woman looks 45, not 25 years old. Creepy-looking.
"There was living space for 13 families, in this one house!"
You’re right about that, but I think he had just gone to work. But if his house was secured, then she would have had to break in.
I don’t recall ever reading about a case like that but I have read where a court has held that the homeowner has to go through the eviction process in order to get the invader out.
