Just broke on Twitter, Chicago PD Anthony Guglielmi announced Smollett was in custody as of around 5:30 am CST. Watch for a press conference at 9:00 am followed by first court appearance.
He still has to exit the building after posting bail. Then he’ll be back in court to make his plea. They’ll be plenty of opportunities for the Press to yell out “Why’d you do it Jussie??”

Roberts is not "innocent" in this charade. She was very close friends with him, photos of them dancing at her Birthday party or some celebratory event. She thought this was a layup, she knew he would do the interview with her because of their closeness and she thought it would make her famous. Here she was with the man who was attacked by Trump racists and homophobes, on a silver platter. However she forgot to actually be a skeptical journalist and instead helped him, by throwing wiffle balls, perpetrate this hoax, she was in effect a complicit partner. Frankly, her image is forever tarnished, she is now always tied to helping this hoax, she's a total loser.

I think what the Talk shows today did not cover adequately, is what could have happened, in the this country, if the3 fake attack (along with Jussie’s fabricated story line about ‘MAGA Country’) had been caught on camera, and then played on every news outlet everywhere. No discussion on TV today mentioned or used the words “Rodney King.”
Riots and unrest could have been ignited. And not one Liberal Media show that I was able to monitor today, had the guts or integrity to advance that point.

These episodes are increasing in frequency because after every accommodation has been made for them, too many of them are quickly left behind by foreigners who arrive here without even basic English.
