With the Galaxy S10, Samsung celebrates its 10th anniversary Galaxy S phone by going big and bold. How bold? Each of the four new Galaxy S10 models is more impressive than the last: there's the cheaper S10E ($750), the Galaxy S10 ($900), S10 Plus ($1,000) and Galaxy S10 5G, the brand's first 5G phone (price TBA, as are UK and Australian prices for the whole range).
This is Samsung seeking to whip up excitement, roar back in sales and defend its title as the world's top smartphone brand. But the Galaxy S10 phones also represent a quest for perfection.

That beach looks like Nice in the French Riviera. Scenery was excellent but the beach was all rocks.
My phone carrier has offered me the S9+ for $0 for 2 years.
Is the S10 that big a difference over the S9?
Absolutely I mentioned features.
One of my primary requirements is a replaceable internal battery. That used to be a hallmark of all but the very cheapest Samsung Phones.
Thei exploding battery fiasco was possible because they took a one hundred eighty degree turn in their design philosophy.
All of which you would know were you a long time customer, or if you read threads about the problem at the time.
And if you had read my posts in the past, I have four non-negotiable requirements from a phone.
1. Replaceable battery.
2. Removable storage.
3. Robust transceiver section (the radio needs to get a signal even in a metal building surrounded by machinery )
4. Five inch or better screen.
All of these features have been affordable since the Dell Streak came out.
Samsung made the best from the launch of the Note through the end of the Note 4.
I could care less about cameras, or biometrics, or other fluff.
I’m not complaining, but that is a shot of FIVE rears.
I’m not so sure about needing only 10 megs.
I barely use my data, at 10 megs, and I have had overages before. That’s only ten or so photographs each way.
Ten gigs? Sure, that’s a ton of data. Ten megs, not so much.
I had a Samsung Note 2 that I bought new in 2012 that finally died. I bought a used Note 4 in late ‘17 for $100. It does everything I need. I do like the ability to do freehand sketches and notes offered by the Note with stylus.
way overkill
I go through one or two a year.
I tossed my J7 against the fireplace couple months back.
Nothing.
Scratched the back of the case.
Too bad.
I was ready to buy myself a Christmas present....

Sorry to disappoint you but I don’t follow you.
Which phone meets 4 of 4?
It was an oft repeated joke that started when the 10 meg hard disk came out.
“way overkill”
Meets my minimum requirements.
thanks !!!!

They bought some cheap batteries from China.
Two or three months ago I saw a notice for contest just for this. Give up your smart phone and use a Motorola Star Trek for a year and win $100,000.
Likely a reference to the apocryphal tale of Bill Gates saying nobody will ever need more than 256K of memory?
Bigger better screen
Fingerprint ID on screen
More memory
Better cameras
I was teasing you after your ridiculous post.
Me: Most every phone has that capability.
“Actually, NO!
Unlimited data is a product/process that comes via the internet. No phone can do unlimited data unless it’s with the internet and cell service.”
Actually, YES! The phones have the capability! If they didn’t, you couldn’t get the data even with a data plan!
