With the Galaxy S10, Samsung celebrates its 10th anniversary Galaxy S phone by going big and bold. How bold? Each of the four new Galaxy S10 models is more impressive than the last: there's the cheaper S10E ($750), the Galaxy S10 ($900), S10 Plus ($1,000) and Galaxy S10 5G, the brand's first 5G phone (price TBA, as are UK and Australian prices for the whole range).

This is Samsung seeking to whip up excitement, roar back in sales and defend its title as the world's top smartphone brand. But the Galaxy S10 phones also represent a quest for perfection.

Up to 1TB of built-in storage.

That storage space is a big plus for me. However, I have a Galaxy S7 Edge that is less than 2 years old so I think I will wait until next year when the S10 is selling for less. However, if any of you get this soon, please post how you like it.

Great...

The price of the S9+ should finally come down to a compelling price point

And that was still way more computer storage than they had on Apollo 11.

I’d be interested, too. I have a nearly 2-year old S8+, which has been a very good phone. Samsung really got battery religion after their Note disaster. I was concerned that the sealed-in battery would doom this phone, but so far I have not noticed a significant loss of battery life.

Not out till 4/26.

Front face is all screen.

cameras, fingerprint scanner, etc. built into screen.

Fingerprint scanner is ultra-sound, not optical. Gives 3-D resolution.

Yeah my strategy has been to wait a year after the new cell model has come out. Usually you can get the same model the following year BOGO, Buy One Get One Free. That’s the way I got my S7 Edge. One for me and one for my wife.

In two years I just might wind up paying $200 for a used version.

I wasn’t crazy about the S8 because the fingerprint detector is on the back instead of the more convenient front as with the S7.

Yeah, I’m pretty rough on phones

My last phone the Note 5 wasn’t doing what I wanted so I turned it into a fastball right against the concrete wall

Went down and picked up a j7 for a hundred and twenty bucks did exactly the same thing for a whole hell of a lot less money

But didn’t have some features that were nice to haves

Put the S9 in a three or four hundred dollar category I’m in

Is never use the biometric reader. No point in letting cops have irrefutable proof that It Is your phone.

I’ve had my S7-Edge for 2.5 years and still works & looks great with it’s screen resolution.

As as a phone, it has superb sound quality - esp using my pro-like IEM with Silver wiring.

Terabyte storage, and 5g, will soon be offered by the lesser-known brands, at half the price or less.

I’ll wait a couple of months. No need to pay $1,000 or more.

I've had mine for under 2 years. Just another year for me because after that the battery should start wearing down.

The phone is just too big. 6” plus screen I don’t need. Right now I have a Apple SE and it is just right. If I need a new phone I will just buy another SE or a Apple 5S. As long as they get the new IOS updates that is just fine. I finally got over needing the latest phone.

The Apollo and Lunar Module computers each had 16k, 8 bit words. That was it. The software was hardwired and could not be changed after manufacture. With 16k, the Apollo Comand Module could control launch on th Saturn 5, earth orbit maneuvers, trans lunar injection, lunar orbit insertion, lunar orbit maneuvers, rendezvous with Lunar Module, trans earth injection, mid course maneuvers, earth entry at 25,000 mph and finally would pop the parachutes out. Pretty good for a 16k software package.
