Jussie Smollett has been a regular on "Empire" since its first season.
Jussie Smollett has reportedly been cut from scenes of Fox's "Empire" that are scheduled to be filmed in this week, according to Deadline and TMZ. Smollett has alleged that he was assaulted by two men in a racist and homophobic attack in late January. On Saturday, sources from the Chicago police investigation said that they had reason to believe that Smollett may have paid the men to stage the assault, CNN reported Saturday. Smollett has denied the claims that he orchestrated the attack.
Filming of "Empire" will continue this week, but according to Deadline and TMZ, multiple scenes featuring actor Jussie Smollett have been cut from production.
Smollett has been cut from five of nine scenes as well as a musical number, sources told TMZ. The Fox hit is currently filming in Chicago.
This news comes as police continue to investigate whether Smollett himself was involved in staging a late January assault to make it appear to be a racist and homophobic hate crime, as CNN reported Saturday. Sources told CNN that Chicago Police believe Smollett may have paid two men to stage the attack.

I believe Jussie the Hoaxer still receives union scale even if he does not have a spoken word in a scene. A good friend of mine is an extra on the Empire (and Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Chicago etc.). I haven’t asked him about all of this yet. This Thursday night he and I are having a couple beers and I wanted to talk to him about it in person.
Unless, of course, they told the feds that it was actually Jussie who mailed the thing. "Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive..."
Wouldn’t it be nice if “news” organizations fired everyone who reported that this creep was assaulted by white guys in MAGA hats?
Could have been Jussie himself(The white substance turned out to be tylenol that was crushed) but even if it was NOT Jussie himself, if he told the brothers to mail it they did it on HIS behalf that itself is a federal offense

Yep. And while they were talking to the police the brothers had an attorney present (apparently she's a pretty good one). And they were released immediately. And Jussie's original attorney walked out. Now, I'm not a suspicious sort of guy but...

The cops have solved the case, know exactly what happened and have handed it over to prosecutors. It's up to the grand jury now.
Yeah that Gloria Schmidt lady, when she was interviewed, she was grinning from ear to ear, sounded like she could not wait to spill the beans on what she knows but she couldn’t do it since its an active investigation
The buzz is cops got suspicious of his story....... since none of Trump’s supporters watch Empire.
So how would Trumpers know who Smollett even was.....least of all what he looked like.
Maybe him carrying the Subway sandwich (even after he claimed he was assaulted) gave him away.....BOL.
According to another source, he makes $20,000 an episode. The show's leads make $175k per.
I can see it now. A scene will revolve around Smollett being beat to death and lynched by two subway sandwiches. They’ll keep the narrative going.
They should have been suspicious because nobody is out looking for trouble in that neighborhood, at 2AM on a Tuesday, in 10 degree weather.

Smollett’s a very stupid hoaxer.......
He stupidly told the cops he KNEW where the surveillance camera was....and staged the hoax to be recorded.
Except the camera was not trained on that area as he expected.
Or maybe because their client won’t listen to their advice and keeps doing stuff like talking to the media.
