Ha.

That's great, Texy. Thanks. Now I have something to report. I just ended a discussion with my brain-trust and I think I've got that post figured out nicely. All except this one line, as bitt points out.

I'd like to know the answer to THIS one line of Q's.

Why was [NV] barred from entering prior to?

Why was she persona non grata BEFORE she was granted special entry by [LL] personally?

I have a vague recollection that she WAS, just don't remember why. I think the info is out there somewhere, but im a very poor researcher, as you know.

Anyway, thanks. Your dig will help my Oracalling. I hope to be able to explain that post in easy to understand language. It looks good in my head, now to articulate it. That's the trick.

Thank you, ace reporter and shovel-mama.

😃

p.s. It takes a lot to make bitt say "YOW!"

Great dig!!

*But*...why would LL go through so many machinations to let NV back into the country with that odd visa?

THANKS!
Could she have thought she was facilitating the honey trap? I have not looked into the VISA part of it, so really am not able to address it very well.

Now we need to cross-reference that list with the list of CABINET OFFICIALS fired/removed.

I guess CABINET OFFICIALS could be different than CABINET HEADS, right?

Kind of a vague appleation, yes? (Is appellation the right word?).

Aaanyway. Gonna start Oracling. You guys figure it out. I'll check in periodically and expect your papers on my desk by 0200 hours PST.

Well, I’m so intrigued by drop #2745 that I can barely focus....but I would like to post some info I found re [Section 720] of the FISA Amendments Act.

Recent drop Q drop #2740 includes the text of prior Q drop #2043. In that second drop, #2043, Q writes, “[Section 702].” I found some info about that section which I’ll post here.

Title: The Way the NSA Uses Section 702 is Deeply Troubling. Here’s Why.

BY DIA KAYYALIMAY 7, 2014

“Section 702 has been used by the NSA to justify mass collection of phone calls and emails by collecting huge quantities of data directly from the physical infrastructure of communications providers. “

-not just phone messages, Section 702 captures content of communications including emails, instant messages, Facebook messages, web browsing history, and more.

-Section 702 ostensibly targets foreigners but allows complete information sweeps of Americans (who are sometimes/often the real targets)

-The NSA confirmed it was using Section 702 to , “access American’s communications without a warrant, in what is being called the “back door search loophole.” For example, the NSA sometimes searches the 702 for content linked to email addresses of Americans

ransomnote: Much more at the link (below). I’ll add one more excerpt here:

“Unlike searches done under a search warrant authorized by a judge, Section 702 has been used by the NSA to get broad FISA court authorization for general search and seizure of huge swathes of communications. The NSA says this is OK because Section 702 targets foreign citizens. The problem is, once constitutionally protected communications of Americans are swept up, the NSA says these communications are “fair game” for its use.”

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I gave bitt my best speculation on that in my just previous post. But I see now that [LL] was in charge at the time.

Could it be that she was considered to be THEIR derp honey trap and that they had to control her carefully? .... with the Q team monitoring developments? Sorry I am unable to give facts to back that up at the moment.....be back in minute,....

:-D

Thanks for the kind words! Glad to help!

(money quote- "The U.S. Attorney’s office in New York confirmed Wednesday to The Hill that it let Veselnitskaya into the country on a grant of immigration parole from October 2015 to early January 2016."

((the same attny's office involved with HRC, LL, etc) I took snips of the article ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/341788-exclusive-doj-let-russian-lawyer-into-us-before-she-met-with-trump

The Moscow lawyer had been turned down for a visa to enter the U.S. lawfully but then was granted special immigration parole by then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch for the limited purpose of helping a company owned by Russian businessman Denis Katsyv, her client, defend itself against a Justice Department asset forfeiture case in federal court in New York City

The Moscow lawyer had been turned down for a visa to enter the U.S. lawfully but then was granted special immigration parole by then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch for the limited purpose of helping a company owned by Russian businessman Denis Katsyv, her client, defend itself against a Justice Department asset forfeiture case in federal court in New York City.

During a court hearing in early January 2016, as Veselnitskaya’s permission to stay in the country was about to expire, federal prosecutors described how rare the grant of parole immigration was as Veselnitskaya pleaded for more time to remain in the United States.

“In October the government bypassed
the normal visa process and gave a type of extraordinary
permission to enter the country called immigration parole,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul Monteleoni explained to the judge during a hearing on Jan. 6, 2016.

“That's a discretionary act that the statute allows the attorney general to do in extraordinary circumstances. In this case, we
did that so that Mr. Katsyv could testify. And we made the
further accommodation of allowing his Russian lawyer into the
country to assist,” he added.

The prosecutor said the Justice Department was willing to allow the Russian lawyer to enter the United States again as the trial in the case approached so she could help prepare and attend the proceedings.

The court record indicates the presiding judge asked the Justice Department to extend Veselnitskaya’s immigration parole another week until he decided motions in the case. There are no other records in the court file indicating what happened with that request or how Veselnitskaya appeared in the country later that spring. The U.S. Attorney’s office in New York confirmed Wednesday to The Hill that it let Veselnitskaya into the country on a grant of immigration parole from October 2015 to early January 2016.

Justice Department and State Department officials could not immediately explain how the Russian lawyer was still in the country in June for the meeting with Trump Jr. and the events in Washington.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has demanded the U.S. government provide him all records on how Veselnitskaya entered and traveled in the U.S., a request that could shed additional light on her activities.

ok - here are some sources on her entering the country:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/did-the-obama-doj-let-russian-lawyer-natalia-veselnitskaya-into-the-u-s/

Why did Obama’s DOJ let Natalia Veselnitskaya into U.S.?

JULY 16, 2017

During a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Thursday, President Trump fielded a question about the 2016 meeting between his son, Donald Trump Jr., and a Russian lawyer that has ensnared his administration in a new round of controversy.

...Trump Jr. agreed to the meeting and hosted Veselnitskaya for a meeting with him, Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort at Trump Tower on June 9, 2016. Veselnitskaya allegedly provided no useful information, Trump Jr. said after the controversy erupted this week.

In Paris, Mr. Trump reacted to the meeting, saying he thought “the press made a very big deal over something that really a lot of people would do.” HE THEN SEEMED TO BLAME THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FOR ALLOWING VESELNITSKAYA INTO THE COUNTRY.

“NOW, THE LAWYER THAT WENT TO THE MEETING, I SEE THAT SHE WAS IN THE HALLS OF CONGRESS ALSO,” MR. TRUMP SAID. “SOMEBODY SAID THAT HER VISA OR HER PASSPORT TO COME INTO THE COUNTRY WAS APPROVED BY [FORMER] ATTORNEY GENERAL [LORETTA] LYNCH. NOW, MAYBE THAT’S WRONG. I JUST HEARD THAT A LITTLE WHILE AGO. I WAS SURPRISED TO HEAR THAT.”

[I am looking at this through the lens of “he has it all,” and is pointing it out and trolling them]

A spokesman for Lynch, who served as attorney general under President Obama, told CBS News Lynch “does not have any personal knowledge of Ms. Veselnitskaya’s travel.” The spokesman noted “the State Department issues visas, and the Department of Homeland Security oversees entry to the United States at airports.”

Mr. Trump appeared to be referencing reports about Veselnitskaya’s efforts to enter the U.S. to represent a Russian client in a New York lawsuit in late 2015. DENIED A VISA, A FRUSTRATED VESELNITSKAYA WAS EVENTUALLY ABLE TO SECURE PERMISSION FROM THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT TO ENTER THE COUNTRY OUTSIDE THE NORMAL VISA PROCESS UNDER A DESIGNATION KNOWN AS “IMMIGRATION PAROLE,” COURT RECORDS SHOW.

In October 2015, Veselnitskaya represented Denis Katsyv in a money laundering suit against his company, Prevezon. The U.S. government had accused Katsyv of using $230 million in stolen funds to buy real estate. Veselnitskaya’s application for a visa to travel to the U.S. to work on the case was denied, she said in a later court filing.

Instead, the Department of Justice granted Katsyv and Veselnitskaya immigration parole. In later arguments before a federal judge, a government attorney described immigration parole as “a discretionary act that the statute allows the attorney general to do in extraordinary circumstances.”

The U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York granted Veselnitskaya immigration parole in October 2015, setting an expiration date of January 7, 2016, DOJ attorneys later told the court. On January 4, Veselnitskaya’s request to extend her parole was denied, according to a declaration filed in U.S. District Court on January 5. In that filing, Veselnitskaya asked the judge to allow her to remain in the U.S. to defend Katsyv. She added she had “been harassed by the Government despite being paroled into the United States” when trying to return from a trip to London that November.

Putin critic: Russian lawyer wouldn’t have been in U.S. without Kremlin’s OK

WASHINGTON — Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russia lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner in June 2016, says she didn’t have any dirt on Hillary Clinton. The Russian government says they don’t even know who she is.

But, like most things Kremlin, there’s more to that story.

Veselnitskaya, who speaks no English, represents a wealthy, Kremlin-connected family in Moscow: the Katsyvs....

[Bill Browder said:]
...”She has a wide range of tasks, not just a lawyer as she’s been described. She is an operator,” he said.

He called Veselnitskaya a “formidable adversary,” and said she wouldn’t have been in the U.S. lobbying to overturn the Magnitsky Act without the Kremlin’s blessing....”

Obama DOJ Allowed Russian Lawyer to Enter U.S. Without Visa Before Trump Team Meeting

The Obama Justice Department cleared Moscow attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya last year under “extraordinary circumstances,” allowing her to enter the United States without a visa before she penetrated then-candidate Donald Trump’s inner circle, The Hill reported Wednesday evening.

Veselnitskaya spent June of 2016 lobbying government officials and lawmakers to reverse the Magnitsky Act and restore the ability of Americans to adopt Russian orphans. She managed to finagle a meeting with the Trump team by promising that she had dirt on Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president....
