Pete - your post in 460 about what Smileyface gave us in 459 has me digging.

The connection is the maps of where the cartels operate. I’m trying to find something large enough to read when posted.

The bottom line is that all the stuff in the drop Smileyface posted relates to the cartels. Particularly the Sinaloa Cartel that Guzman ran.

If memory serves, the Sinaloa was having problems with some other cartels. When Hussein got in, they experienced a pretty quick rise to the top. Causation or correlation?

My theory follows...

...the western and southwestern dems got into bed with the cartels back in the late 80s once they started consolidating. (qv Mena, Arkansas). The Xlintons got bootstrapped by Escobar. Wild west.

By the time the 90s came about, the cartel wars were in full swing. US politicians (of all stripes) started selling access to inland markets and cross-border routes (qv No Name and “Arizona Mafia”).

The feckless, reckless or malevolent Bush administration was ‘distracted’ (as were we) with the war on terror. During those years, the cartels pretty much established their pecking order and solidified the relationships with our politicians.

Enter hussein. He and VJ (Jarrett), with others, formalized the Cartel/Political alliances. Witness the ENORMOUS jump in violence and drugs in Chicago particularly but all over US cities.

In a previous large trial by the Feds in ChiCongo in about 2012, a high-level Sinaloa hombre started talking about the agreement that the Cartel had with the US Government and the judge immediately quashed all that. This happened a couple times under the corrupt rule of Lynch and Holder.

The Sinaloa absolutely blossomed under hussein and the corrupt presidentes of Mexico going back to Carlos Salinas up through Fox and Nieto.

In this context, Fast & Furious makes a LOT more sense. It was hussein’s way to fulfill whatever agreements he had with the Sinaloa to make them the best-armed Cartel on the block.

Especially since ‘El Chapo’ Guzman (English= Shorty Guzman) and his amigos kept getting caught with US Government-provided weapons up to and including .50 caliber Barrett rifles.

That’s the end of my theory, but I haven’t seen anything better and no one has ever challenged me on it.

The Panic of 2008 occurred when there was an international shortage of dollars. The US dollar is the reserve currency of the world, the US T-bill is the collateral of the world banking system, and thanks to a combination of the fall in housing prices and Goldman Sachs shorting its own mortgage-backed securities, the world was short of dollars.

The story at the time is that both the Dubya and Obama administrations offered one or more cartels the opportunity to launder money through American banks without having to worry about money laundering laws. This would provide the dollars necessary to lubricate the international banking system and stave off global financial collapse.

I suspect there was a quid pro quo in that deal.

I like your theory Kit. You put an internal conflict of deep-staters into play...Obummer vs Bush/Clinton, no? I had always considered the group homogenous.

Yes, the $$ for drugs/guns/humans AND the ability to operate (classic ClownOp), but I think of the wide open border and caravans, with terrorist-types too as a slow invasion —which really seemed to pick up under Obummer.

The line that seems odd in Q post 1009 is

What moves through the border? Mules with flash drives? Surely this is something else. They bring Russia/China stuff in, for false flags?

Outstanding analysis, Kit. It pulls together an important area (one of many) of the RAT/NoName corruption-—related to cartels.

Of course C_A is hip-deep in this stuff as well, as they are in the opium poppy regions of East Asia, and doubtless the imported pharmaceuticals.

Other than clowns, perhaps the only factoid you left out was that “Shorty” underwent male enhancement surgery during his prior prison escape. Doesn’t that fit in somewhere?
