Well, Potus did go to Duluth, which is next to Ashland/Superior which is next to the UP. It was June 20, the time I would pick to travel to Wisconsin or the UP. It wasnt snowing at the time but we could check and see if there was still Ice on the upper lake?
I sympathize with you about the snow. At least you dont have to deal with the black flies!(Do you have exterior stairs and a door with a landing on the second floor?)
Concerning the black flies, if you are talking about those ankle biters we get a few of them. Mostly they are over in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. (Ah, those were the days.)
Good for Them!
When I married My wife and I went to Door County Wi. We arrived (May) and there had been a Winnebago fly hatch. (Like giant mosquitos) They said not to worry, was a week old and should be over. It lasted for 5 more days. They don’t bite. You breathe them and they go Crunch as you walk through the drifts of dead flies!
(Here is a link for coming summer days!)
