Yes...keep the award which will honor the days gone by when coal was king in eastern Ohio. This girl, the Silver Spade, made its mark not too awfully far from my home town along with her twin sister, The GEM of Egypt. Sadly there’s very little remaining of the Spade. Its bucket and operator’s cab are all that’s left on display in a seldom-visited miners memorial park.
I will stop now. I might start the Slide of all Slides as these beasts surely stir my soul.
