My wife spent life as a very young child at Fort Leonard Wood.
She remembers they got an inch or two of snow once and the world stopped.

I live in Williamsburg Va for a year...same thing...

I was going to the store...not even a footprint in our complex. Went back into my condo.

The headlines next day...."Seven sleds sold at Country Hardware Store".

Fort Leonard Wood is deep in the Missouri Ozarks. I have a hard time believing that an inch or to of snow would have that effect. An inch or two of ice is a much different story.

Sounds just like Alabama. Any prediction of more than 1” of snow and you would believe the apocalypse was coming. It’s hilarious to watch.

In 1993, we experienced an actual blizzard with thundersnow and received around 16” of snow. The entire state shut down for over a week.
