I read up on the background of the Labor-Mobster he plays. This guy was a WWII vet noted for being 6’4”.

That was much less common than now. He was noted for being “IN” combat for a lot longer than typical. Went all through Africa, Italy, Bulge etc.

Same here. I think De Niro was good in a few films, but overall very overrated. Of late the films he has done are pretty much garbage. If I were De Niro I would be ashamed at having done a wretched film like “Dirty Grandpa”. I guess the guy needs a paycheck to pay for his style of living.
