Speaking as a FReeQ of Irish, Polish, Scots, Welsh and German heritage, I miss the ethnic jokes of yore. That was some funny stuff (mostly).
And funny jokes always have an element of truth.
Say, with all the upper Midwesterners in this happy band, I know there are 1.2 Gorillion Swedish & Norwegian jokes floating around.
[note to self: do NOT start a slide!]
Ya goes good fighting’ blood in ye!
Where I grew up it was mostly polish, finnish, some dutch, tough of german and thousands with the last letters of their last names being ‘ich, Like Lulich!

Like the one where GWB fell to pieces, in tears, upon being informed 4 Brazilian soldiers had been killed?
Then he pulled himself together enough to ask: "How many is a Brazilian?"
My daughter will be visiting Poland this year. I said “Well, at least they make good jokes!”
She didn’t get it. I told her we had the dumb Pollack jokes when I was a kid. (Funny in third grade, now not so much). Being of Norwegian heritage, I stick to the Ole and Lena jokes now.
IT’s fun to watch the old game shows from the seventies because they say all KINDS of stuff that you could never say today. Watch one episode of All In The Family!
Ole and Sven went out to Pelican Lake to go ice fishing. They caught 4000 pounds of ice!
Lena damn near drowned frying it for dinner.
eventually, I had to turn all those ethnicicities into serbo-croation jokes.
