Surprising that “bad” (meaning good) isn’t there.

Also the origin of the term “suck” as in “that sucks,” which was originally a much less succinct expression that described a considerably more lurid, dangerous, and physically challenging act.

I remember when the expression was “that sucks c***.”

Now little kids can say “that sucks” and have no idea.

That's what I remember, too. "Bad" meant "good." And "man" was used the way "dude" is used today.

Example: "Man, that was bad" was the equivalent of "Dude, that was awesome."

(I was a kid in the seventies.)
