I am familiar with about five of those; never heard of the rest. ABC early morning news still uses Skinny.

Yes, I remember the “Official Polish/Italian Joke Book”. (of course me being Polish, I figured I’d better be able to finish the jokes that I heard other people start telling)

I remember gasser from those songs kids used to sing on the bus in elementary school back in the 1960’s.

Going down the highway, exit 44
Someone lit a gasser and shot it out the door
The wheels couldn’t take, the engine fell apart
All because of someones super-sonic fart.

I was a young adult in the 1970s and I can honestly say that the vast majority of the 20 slang terms listed are terms I either never said at all or possible uttered on some rare occasion.

Where has slang always been hyped the most, my entire life? In common usage by most people? No; just in the media.

This is a weak list.

S'happening?
What it is?
Bummer.
Man.
Totally hammered.
Well, I never! (okay, maybe not that one)

Incidentally, "Catch you on the flip side" is CB jargon.

I remember those slangs....I used to use 10-4 good buddy all the time...(my CB handle used to be Goalkeeper). Lizard Lots were always trying to get me to stop in Lowell, Mass. when I was driving up to Maine for a weekend.

77 grand prix was a pimpmobile :)

And mine was the delux model. Loaded to the gills with all the bells and whistles.

That ride was a total chick magnet.
