Survivor: Edge of Extinction is the thirty-eighth season of Survivor (for those unfamiliar with the show, there are two seasons each year). It begins Wednesday, February 20, 2019 on CBS at 8/7c.
Four former Survivor players to return for Edge of Extinction season
The players range in age from 19 to 46. There are five from California (including four from Southern California), two each from Georgia and New York, and one each from Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.
Functionally, Edge of Extinction operates like most other Survivor seasons, at least at first glance: two tribes compete in head-to-head challenges, with the losing faction heading to Tribal Council to vote out one of their own. The roads begin to diverge from there, as the eliminated player will leave Tribal, only to discover they aren't quite as extinct as they believed. Heading down the long and lonely path of elimination, the ousted player will encounter a sign at the end of the road, offering them one of two choices: throw in the towel, or follow an additional path to get on a boat and continue the game.Source
Those who choose to exercise the second option will wind up stranded in a remote location known as Extinction Island, a barren wasteland with little to offer its inhabitants beyond the faint winds of hope, and harsher winds off the ocean. The otherwise abandoned beach contains a few scattered remnants of a shipwreck (props, as always, to Dax Pointon and Zac Jensen, childhood friends who grew up to become leaders of the Survivor art department), including a broken mast with a sign that reads: "Welcome to the Edge of Extinction." There they will remain, until they reach an opening to return to the game and if they decide the road toward that chance is too long and grueling to bare, they can always send up the white flag on the broken ship mast, signaling their official withdrawal from the million dollar adventure.
Manu Tribe (blue buffs): Chris, Dan, David, Keith, Kelley, Lauren, Reem, Rick, Wendy

Tonight, Wednesday, April 3, 2019 on CBS at 8/7c
Vata Tribe (merged tribe - red buffs): Aurora, David, Eric, Gavin, Julia, Julie, Kelley, Lauren, Rick, Ron, Victoria, Wardog
Jury: Aubry, Chris, Joe, Reem
Extinction Island: Aubry, Chris, Joe, Reem
Eliminated: Keith, Wendy
Immunity Idol status: Kelley, Lauren
Secret Advantage: Rick. Last week in his bag he found an Idol broken in half, with a note stating that it could not be used at last week's Tribal Council. He also has to give half the Idol to someone else. After that point, the Idol gains full power and becomes a regular Hidden Immunity Idol. He shared the information, and presumably the idol, with David. I guess that means that Rick and / or David now have and idol. Let's see what happens tonight.

I guess they
Extinction Island: Aubry, Chris, Joe, Reem
are the jury as they attend tribal council , even if they raise the white days from now and go to Ponderosa. Then we will have two classes of jurors.
Be pretty easy to tell at the next TC if Keith and Wendy are there all cleaned up.
Keith and Wendy are not jury, they were not part of the group.
Got to give Wardog his due for pointing out how David and Rick would be used.
Thumbs up on Julia, Gavin and Victoria for getting the ball rolling for the blind side.
Reward challenge winner: Aurora, Eric, Julia, Rick, Victoria, Wardog
Immunity challenge winner: Aurora
Vata Tribe (merged tribe - red buffs): Aurora, David, Gavin, Julia, Julie, Kelley, Lauren, Rick, Ron, Victoria, Wardog
Jury: Aubry, Chris, Eric, Joe, Reem
Extinction Island: Aubry, Chris, Eric, Joe, Reem
Eliminated: Keith, Wendy
Immunity Idol status: Kelley, Lauren - also, Rick and David share an idol but it remains to be seen as to who will get sole possession of it.
Secret Advantage: Aubry. She has a practice advantage for the next challenge to reenter the game. She also has an extra vote she can give to someone still in the game. She gave it to Aurora.
Secret Advantage: Aurora. She received an extra vote from Aubry. The last time it can be used is when there are seven people left in the game.

Aurora (and also Ron?) finally received interview & screen time.
Did you notice that the last two episodes have been without the “previously on” intro?
yes, adventures on Edge of Extinction eat up time.
I have watched from season 1. But never Ponderosa . was there rules against discussing the game between jury visits? Did they get to eat & keep themselves busy as a group or separated?
Ponderosa was fun for the most part. Those there welcomed the newcomer. Then the view in the full length mirror, a drink and a massive meal was the norm.
Personalities play a big part at Ponderosa but most have been pretty cool and laid back about it.
It never shows the down and dirty about game play. The most it shows is light banter between the players when the new one shows up after TC. “Wow, that was a good blind side.”
If they wanted to talk about game play I don’t think there is anything to stop them.
Y'all Making Me Crazy (Preview)
Did you catch that crazy reaction by Aubry at the end of the clip? And it wasn't her first over the top moment this season. Refresh my memory: in her previous two Survivor seasons, was she this big of an ass?
From Dalton Ross:
Judging by the previews for next week, it looks like Aubry will be issuing an official challenge to Eliza Orlins for the title of Most Exaggerated Juror of All-Time. Cant wait to see what prompted that.

Very interesting TC.
Julia is a basket case that needs high maintenance.
Kelly smoked out the idol by telling David he was the target,
Everybody voted for Julie - except Julie and Aurora.
Julie and Aurora talked too much about strategy at TC.
I think Julie pushed a little too hard for “her way” leading up to TC.
Reward challenge winner: No reward challenge
Immunity challenge winner: Gavin
Vata Tribe (merged tribe - red buffs): Aurora, David, Gavin, Julie, Kelley, Lauren, Rick, Ron, Victoria, Wardog
Jury: Aubry, Chris, Eric, Joe, Julia, Reem
Extinction Island: Aubry, Chris, Eric, Joe, Julia, Reem
Eliminated: Keith, Wendy
Immunity Idol status: Kelley and Lauren each have an idol. Rick and David each had half an idol. Rick took possession of David's half, combined them into a whole idol, and used it to give immunity to David.
Secret Advantage: Aubry. She has a practice advantage for the next challenge to reenter the game. She also had an extra vote she could give to someone still in the game. She gave it to Aurora.

2 tribal councils because no one quit or was pulled for an injury?
Well, that was interesting.
Showed a little of Wardog’s knowledge of past seasons.
He worked hard to build a solid six alliance - for one TC - and then blew it up to get out Kelly.
I agree with getting out Kelly and David - should have been gone long ago - But the Kelly vote, while sneaky, POed a few of his former 6.
But at this point in the game do Gavin and Julie have any game play in them or do they just shoot off and become loose cannons?
Reward challenge winner: No reward challenge
Immunity challenge winner: Aurora (1), Rick (2)
Vata Tribe (merged tribe - red buffs): Aurora, Gavin, Julie, Lauren, Rick, Ron, Victoria, Wardog
Jury: Aubry, Chris, David, Eric, Joe, Julia, Kelley, Reem
Extinction Island: Aubry, Chris, David, Eric, Joe, Julia, Kelley, Reem
Eliminated: Keith, Wendy
Immunity Idol status: Lauren has an idol. Kelley had an idol but didn't play it and was voted out.
Secret Advantage: Aubry. She has a practice advantage for the next challenge to reenter the game. She also had an extra vote she could give to someone still in the game. She gave it to Aurora.
Secret Advantage: Aurora and Ron. Aurora received an extra vote from Aubry. The last time it can be used is when there are seven people left in the game. Aurora gave it to Ron. If she had been voted out last night, it was his to keep. If she had not been voted out last night, he would return it to her and they would share it.
Secret Advantage: David. He can give an advantage to someone still in the game. He gave it to Rick. The advantage gave Rick an edge over the others in last night's immunity challenge.

And Wardog is gone.
Only two remaining with any game play are Rick and Ron.
Will it be a stampede of goats to the finish? Will either Rick or Ron make it to the final TC? Will a EoE player make it in to save the day?
