Tonight and tomorrow are going to be just BRUTAL; the coldest we’ve had since 1996! We HAD to travel today; I was never so glad to be back home!

Right now it’s -11 with awful winds out of the west, wind chill is at -41! Eeek! The d@mn Beagle went out - and wouldn’t come back in, the dumb@ss, LOL! (He’s in now and is OK; frosty paws and face. He was out for over 15 minutes, which is enough to hurt you!)

My indoor/outdoor cats are crawling the walls and trying to KILL each other.

Barn chores have been BRUTAL - and we only have hunting dogs and a mule, LOL! (Dogs are out of the wind and each have a Doggy Condo filled with straw; the mule is in the barn.) Our Dairy Neighbors are in for a ‘fun’ few days. :(

And then? Nearly 40 degrees by the weekend! That’s, ‘Snowshoeing in Shorts’ weather! ;)

Almost balmy over there. Right now the temperature where I’m at is -41 degrees and the wind chill is somewhere around -65. Forecast says it might get worse.

Diane, thank you for the weather report from SW Wisconsin! I will happily remember northern nights and leave the cold weather bragging rights to WI and MI and MN!
