Predictions for this season are that only Lake St. Clair risks a complete freeze-over. All other Great Lakes are not expected to ice over. USCG ice-breakers are available for stupid fishermen, though.

Funny posts by the PDs, but Yikes! Those pics make me very thankful I live in the south. Still, high of 20s today and tomorrow with lows in the teens, here. Brrrr. Supposed to be in the 60s by the weekend. :D

Record cold here. Fireplace insert installed today. Hubby has it stoked and the front room is so hot you sweat in a short sleeve shirt. Not so toasty in front of the computer-but I have my electric throw, so very comfy here.

I read today that flesh will freeze in just minutes. Smart criminals will stay home and drink hot toddies. LOL If they are dumb enough to go out....
