Professor Valentina Zharkova was one of the few that correctly predicted solar cycle 24 would be weaker than cycle 23 — only 2 out of 150 models predicted this.

Her models have run at a 93% accuracy and her findings suggest a Super Grand Solar Minimum is on the cards beginning 2020 and running for 350-400 years.

The last time we had a little ice age only two magnetic fields of the sun went out of phase.

I’m on board with Prof. Valentina’s theories. I am planning for the coming cooler than normal growing seasons, BUT...

I am STILL going to b*tch when we have our 99 Degree, 100% Humidity days in August in Wisconsin! :)

Thanks for the ping. I listened to a Video about her and the presentation she gave a couple of months ago. Someone half-jokingly reminded her of what can happen to someone who tells too much truth.

At any rate, for gardening, I’ve been planning on shorter seasons and I expect that such things as the corn belt will shift to the south. I am ordering heirloom seeds with the shortest days to maturity. Any perennials I am looking for at least zone 4 instead of the zone 6 they switched us to from a 5 a few years back.

Crop failures already showing up around the world- actually for a few years now. Whatever warming there was actually stopped over a decade ago. It was just part of one of the cycles. Now we are in a cooling cycle. Man doesn’t control these cycles. Scan the headlines:

I happen to think (as a layperson, but one who can read and think) that the good professor is correct - it will only get colder over time (”time” as it is important to us humans who generally live for less than a mere century).
