33 times the size of New York.
Have they lost their minds?
They would do this on purpose?

I seriously doubt they are going to bulldoze this site. It is worth a lot more intact as a Biblical/historical/tourist/archaeological destination than as land for building use.
And the cost of bulldozing a mountain? Ridiculous.

“33 times the size of New York”
They don’t even remotely have the population for that.

In the documentary titled Finding The Mountain of Moses: The Real Mount Sinai in Saudia Arabia, they lay out their case for Sinai and highlight the risk posed by Neom. Mt. Sinai (Chorev in the Torah) is in...SINAI! Not Arabia, you camel jockeying dimwits.

I’m sure the new city will contain lots of courtyards where supposedly adulterous women can be stoned to death. /sarc

Was there a stone monument that indicated the exact spot?

I am ALL FOR the Saudi’s building a super city. Then we can send them all of the ‘refugees’ to live there. I’m sure Europe would like to send some of theirs as well.

The Saudi site makes more sense than the traditional Mt. Sinai on the Sinai Peninsula. Seems like I read that they will not let Christian or Jewish scholars near the site.
