A Georgia hunter under fire for posting pictures of himself alongside a pair of dead elephants said criticism hes received is unfair he shot the giants in self-defense.
A photo of Mike Jines posing with a rifle, behind two dead elephants, made the rounds on social media, with users branding the partner at an energy manufacturer a despicable Trophy Hunter and saying hed ruthlessly killed helpless juvenile pachyderms.

Lefties ignore facts and go with emotion.
Why?
“He just stood there like a deer in the headlights, and said, “you know, you got a good point there” “
At least he was willing to hear and consider what you said. That’s more than you can say for a lot of people.
“30k excess elephants “
That is just Zimbabwe
Probably a cull the game commission wanted to get rid of anyway. Why not find someone who will pay BIG BUX to shoot one? Much like the Montana game and fish commission used to have hunters come in and kill cull bison with brucellosis.
I remember not long back when the South African game commission sent in the army to kill off a large number of excess elephants.
And if he could just resist the urge to get “likes” on social media, he wouldn’t have posted this pic and nobody would be the wiser.
You’ve been watching too much National Geographic.
According to liberals, half the creatures on the planet are “endangered.” The term has become meaningless.
Elephants are probably “smarter” than many other animals, but so what? How does that translate into any value to us? Are you saying that it’s okay to kill stupid beasts but not the wise ones? Do we administer an IQ tezt before we shoot them?
Your vision of elephants no doubt comes from what you ‘ve seen on TV and read in various publications. But what do you really know about them in the same way the natives do?
If they’re okay with elephants being killed, so am I.
And I can’t think of a single reason humanity would ever NEED more elephants.
What a grotesque take on the world.
Any animal that large is NOT “helpless.”
And, BTW, nice shot on the critter.
It may well keep the locals from resorting to eating bush meat that would truly offend the bunny huggers. Stuff like chimpanzee hands.
Ticks are “more evolved” than humans. What’s your point?
What a vague criticism.
They are an endangered species (and probably more intelligent and evolved than the average human on the planet).
Show me a library built by and for elephants.
L
Or too many Disney movies with talking animals.
Yeah. “Dumbo” is not a documentary.
I think Disney and the rest of these talking-animal animated cartoons are largely to blame for PETA and the rest of the “animal rights” morons.
