Son-in-law in national guard is not getting paid during shutdown nor are his VA approved medical expenses being paid
I am all for this shutdown folks but there's more going on than meets the eye. We keep hearing about non-essential people being off, but military people are not non-essential IMO.
The National Guard and the Coast Guard are being used as pawns by the Democrats.
I am getting sick and tired of hearing pundits putting their thoughts on what PRESIDENT TRUMP is thinking. They are apologists for the DEMOCRAT PARTY.

Dearest one, I can empathize with your emotion on this. I was once (actually 3 times) laid off with little notice. Severance was my last paycheck. No prospects; had to look for another job since I was not subject to recall by the shop.
I had payments and a young family to feed. I couldn’t get a zero-interest loan because...well, I was unemployed. I didn’t have the comfort of guaranteed back-pay if I found a job (it was the 1980s!). Nobody bought me lunches or groceries or anything. My congresscritter didn’t negotiate legislation to put me back to work.
These wankers should STFU and quit crying about being furloughed. That goes for the press and Dhimmicrats, too. Furloughed means you have a job and you get backpay.
Yeah, I can get along with that. Riiiiiiiiiight. Pardon me while I exercise my white priovilege and magically pull a life-time F**KIN job out of my back pocket.
