“Thanks to the Deep State and former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, America economically isolated Venezuela from the West. The Federal Reserve did not want the economic competition and political power that would come from Venezuela’s vast oil supplies as well as their cheap labor market.”

This I question. HRC and Obama were more likely on the side of Venezuela and the others but had to be sneaky. Something brought the commies into power but I doubt it was due to isolation.

A relative left a high paying job in Venezuelan oil industry 50 years ago because the commies were coming to power and increasingly a threat to his family there.

Maybe or maybe not. It certainly follows typical tactics. Financial Pressure, and exploiting internal divisions to bring “our guy” to power.

No honor among these thieves. If the despot in power is not “our” guy methods are employed to get rid of that guy, and get a different one.

Or if “our guy” gets ideas of his own-can be dangerous to his rule. Influential USA interests in Venezuela Oil would very much like to be back in Venezuela.

Topples of governments often are related to Corporate Influence, and I don’t have any knowledge of CF rejecting “donations” in their pay to play schemes-So, maybe or maybe not.

Marc Rich, Clintons, and Kaddafi were involved with smuggling oil when sanctions were on Libya. Then HRC is involved with pardon for Rich, and more recently toppling Kaddafi. So it just depends.

Financial warfare is real. Big countries do it. It often results in regime change-no boots on the ground needed-maybe a few CIA guys exploiting existing divisions, and maybe even arming the opposition.

Likely a contributing factor. Financial screws/isolation not the only arrow in the quiver.

I recall Obummer taking a trip down to Ven for a meeting with ‘Ugo Chavez and the leaders of a bunch of other ‘non-aligned’ nations. Seems like there was something about a book - The Post American Century that he was carrying, or gave a copy to lil Hugo, or something like that. Can’t remember any more.

I disbelieve it either. Seems to me that the Venezuelan people have been struggling to break free ever since Hugo was still alive but a smothering mockingbird style media and brutal suppression and election cheating have made it impossible for them to shrug them off. Much like we face here. In fact, in the Chavez days, it was my nightmare it would come here.
