Also heard they were going to stop allowing password sharing.
I used to be a customer, their selections weren’t all that impressive.
So a year or so later, they invite me to try it again free for a month. So I did - and their content is even more lacking now. Almost nothing I’d wanna watch, certainly nothing I’d pay to watch.
So I said bye-bye before the free month was even over. Sorry, not coming back.
And their stock is up around $22 today on the news...
I dropped them when they hired obama
“$13 per month “
still cheaper than a single ticket to a movie theater to attempt to watch an unwatchable movie ... for a family for a month for unlimited streaming from a large library (SOME of which is outstanding) $13/month is still a bargain ...
We’ve had a 2-disc account for years. Then switched a month ago to streaming using the built-in tv app. So far, it has been really convenient but the selection is limited.
I’m now temped to go back to the disc-only plan due to it’s bigger library.
I recently saw a report that said Netflix has three shows about cannibalism running right now. Stay away for this filth!
I did the Netflix thing years ago after cutting out cable entirely . I enjoyed it for what it was and tended to binge watch series I had never seen before (Saxxon) was funny ...anyway I have found all of the things I wanted online ..VaughnlivedotTV is one I utilize daily for OAN news and I am hooked on Topgear . Anyway , this site has people stream whatever they want and they have multiple catagories . For sports I will go over to freevip.eu and take the few minutes to click through the ads and I get to see what is needed . It may take a little effort but I just look at the flat 49.99 for broadband per month and I smile knowing that I no longer subsidize (via taxation) those who get cable for free like its a necessity for existence....anyway thats my two cents worth.
What the hell has time to watch movies?
Got to pay the Zerobamas’ salaries, right?
Their low price is obviously unsustainable, especially as they are now producing their own content on a large scale.
I think the true value of the service is closer to $50/mo and I'd happily pay it. Still saving a lot of money from not having cable TV.
Don't forget the expensive talent they hired. A May, 2018 Netflix news release:
"President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have entered into a multi-year agreement to produce films and series for Netflix, potentially including scripted series, unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries, and features."
Maybe they have to make up the loss from people (like me) that cancelled their subscription when they started giving money to the Obamas.
I don’t have Netflix but want to see the occasional (old) movie. What is HULU? Do I have to pay for that?
What I hate is that Netflix went into debt to purchase the debt of cable companies who merged their debt with their past debt and raised prices. A significant portion of the original cable company license debt was sold in deprecated junk bonds. Bottom line is these price increases hide this house of debt cards, and causes inflation.
Aonher leftist org I decided to drop like Facebook....don’t need these America hating trash in my life!!!
Once they signed the Odungos, I called them and told them to cancel my subscription. The guy on the phone remarked that he’d had a LOT of similar calls that day. Their content was pretty crummy, too. If you liked 10-15 year old movies and a bunch of old TV shows, then Netflix is totally for you. I get pretty much the same thing from Amazon Prime, but at least I get a lot of other benefits as well. Takes the sting, to some extent, from the basically crummy fare. There are some very decent old programs I never saw, with ratings above 8.5/10, that I’ve been enjoying. Once in a while, there’s a movie worth watching as well.
They have been acquiring a lot of foreign films and dubbing them in English. Too many German films/ series.
Ill stick with Amazon since I am really fed up with the garbage on Netflix.
After finding nothing on Dish TV over the weekend I used my Roku box and watched a nights worth of Great movies. It was great.
Good value for the money especially when there is crap on the other providers.
