The particular cottonwoods that drop cotton could be cut down. I forget if it is male trees or female trees. I guess female.

Cottonwoods smell gorgeous in the spring, I can smell them from the river. I don’t know which kind make the smell, I assume the ones with flowers, but maybe it’s just the opening leaves.

Jocko; Thats a lot of trees! (I do not think I have ever lived anyplace that has not had a cottonwood within 300 yards of where I lived!)

You need to cut them down young, and don’t stick the branches in the dirt! ( I used a cottonwood branch as a stake once and it sprouted!)
