Ill take the opportunity to remark that Phyllis Schlafly was also a lawyer, and was attending Washington University in St. Louis during WWII. IIRC, she worked in a factory supporting the war effort at night, got off work, and went straight to class.
She was rather famous herself, having almost single handedly defeated the Equal Rights Amendment, and establishing the Eagle Forum. She was not a man hater or one to blame men - she got busy to do what needed doing-a credit to her gender, and indeed to all Americans.

Phyllis Schlafly was a hero! So glad you pointed out her accomplishments next to RBG’s... as well as O’Conner’s. Great catch!
Maybe one day Ms Schlafly’s story will be told properly!
