Well, this seems to have become an annual event. Alone on Christmas Eve, reaching out to my fellow FReepers.
Myself, I have my daughter's hermit crab for company. And some great classical Christmas music. And, a little later, George Bailey and friends via BluRay.
Anyone else spending this evening solo?
Yes, my husband and I are home alone for the first time in 31 years. Father-in-law passed 5 years ago; my mama passed July 31. We live 500+ miles away from our families, and our three children and grandson are with respective in-laws tonight and tomorrow. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Christ IS the Reason for the Season.

It’s those who don’t have Freeper-minded people online or real life to spend some time with on Christmas Eve that I feel for!
And I’d take a hermit crab over some people any day of the year.

I’ve had a bad cold for four days, so it’s just as well. I’ve got all the presents wrapped, and I’m recovered enough so I can show up tomorrow and not appall everyone.

In a sense, yes. But I have a cousin with me. The girls liked him at Shop n Stop today. They think hes handsome. He is 26.
Yep home alone. Watching harllmark movies with my dogs.
Merry Christmas to you. It seems to be common for me to be alone for this date but I got music, guitars, and my two standard poodles for company. I cooked Italian beef for dinner that I slow cooked for 12 hours and going to top it off with a margarita later. Its a beautiful night here with a full moon and a mid 40 temperature.

With each passing Christmas that seems to never be meant for me.
Maybe some of us are just too broken for God to hear. Maybe for some of us our lives are mistakes.
Wife left me 6 months ago. After 40 years together.
Lost my best friend on Dec 19 after his long battle with cancer.
Not a good Christmas but I am working to ensure that next year’s will be better. I’m going to build a nice flag case for my friend’s veteran casket flag. I will laser etch the US Army logo and facts about his service on the glass case cover.
Christmas Eve pizza is our family tradition. Mine must have had some tryptophan in it.
Some of my favorite Christmas times were after my divorce and just me and the pups! Alone and out in the quiet country.
This year it’s now me with the new fiancé AND still the pups! Great time!
Soup. Grilled cheese. And chasing tennis balls down the hallway!

Unless the dog counts, I’m alone as well (and will be tomorrow, too). My children live out of state and we usually exchange gifts via mail and open them using Skype - but one of ‘em’s sick, so I’m not even sure that’s going to happen.
