Have you seen the design for the Bollard Fence Design (steel slat picket-fence) that DJT has been talking up this week ? What do you think of it ? How penetrable ?
The design features a see through capability, which has plusses and minuses. Steel like spikes crown each picket. Costs would be considerably less. Construction time minimized. Trump calls it beautiful. It certainly is more appealing than a concrete wall.

I’ve seen pics of some of the barb wire fences on the border that are total useless, they look like they’ve had no maintenance for decades.
Half or all the strands are on the ground, they wouldn’t even stop livestock.

Not sure where those stories came from that they could not get over. What I was told is SF and Navy SEALS were part of the design testing and they rated each structure for difficulty. I did hear that some designs failed due to that, but I did not hear they could not get over any of them.
Yes, but take the concrete out of the top section and replace with steel (cheaper to make)

And solve the “ Roberts ruling “ of no matter where they cross as this would be a major detterent and also I’m assuming have a legal entry point armed and guarded

Terrible “wall” (fence).
A solid wall would be better, with a top that bends south-ward so it’ll be impossible to get over. CCTVs every quarter mile or so to be able to monitor what’s going on on the other side.
Well then tell that to the border guards who wanted that deisgn!
I thought it would be “ten feet taller”. Disappointed.
