Can I be L.T.?
One of the proudest moments in my life was after getting my 0-3 bars put on and having the sailors in Deck Department start calling me L.T.
Before that it was always “Mr. Reed” no one wanted to say JG or LTJG and we were all too lazy to actually pronounce all those syllables :)
