J. Clydesdale Cushman: Realizing castles in the sky still need managers

Castles? Red, green, in the sky??? Jimi Hendrix? ;)

State or Feds or both buy or take over land for wall by public domain? Who profits?

Unrelated?? Family??

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cushman_(company)

Throwing this out there

On another dig.

Cya .

Oh I’m so glad you dug there! I had wondered about the “Castle” idea too. You substantiated it a bit with that first link.

That second link goes to a page that says

“Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name. Please search for Cushman (company in Wikipedia to check for alternative titles or spellings.
Log in or create an account to start the Cushman (company article, alternatively use the Article Wizard, or add a request for it.
Search for “Cushman (company” in existing articles.
Look for pages within Wikipedia that link to this title.”

That is an interesting question that you pose.... sell farm equipment....

The link they suggested “Cushman Company,” goes to this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=Cushman+%28company&title=Special%3ASearch&fulltext=1

“The page “Cushman (company)” does not exist. You can ask for it to be created, but consider checking the search results below to see whether the topic is already covered.

Cushman (company)

Textron. The Cushman scooter company started in 1903 in Lincoln, Nebraska, by Everett and Clinton Cushman. The company incorporated as Cushman Motor Works”

Two things..... 1. why did that page come down? They say it is covered elsewhere.
2. interesting connection you make between farm equipment and farm/ranch real estate.

There are several other possible “Cushman” Companies listed under that one from Nebraska, as well.

So.... not able to dig this right now, but perhaps we can equip one or more of you to dig to find out if there is that connection you propose as a possibility, haffast.

The Cushmans in question were out of Nebraska - Everett and Clinton. 1903.

I’m guessing Evertt and Clinton are not related to J. Clydesdale, but how would we know without digging?

Gotta go offline for a bit.

Great spading there, haffast!

Weirdness between the Geeeeeuuuugle search engine and Wiki.

When I saw Cushman, I thought Cushman Scooters and searched for that. Then clicked on Wiki from the search results and got what you see below:

Copied the url from the nav window on that page and used in my post. HAHA! I should have checked it. My bad.

I've had that happen before but caught it before I posted. Anyway, when I saw Nebraska I thought, OK, they're 2nd cousins seven times removed. You know, the part of the family that got forked up that no-one mentions. ;)

For now, I'm satisfied to leave it at that. :D
