Why is it alway’s NASA? No. For real, why is it that in all of these kinds of video’s it’s alway’s an American organisation that is supposedly faking everything. Never do I see stuff like this about the Russins, Chinese or Europeans. Am I missing something? Because to me it seems very unlikely the US would have the power to supress every other county to make sure they don’t leak out thier secrets. Feel free to correct me...

Today’s technology is far more susceptible to radiation/emp/ etc. than the vacuum tubes and hydraulics used back then. Computers as we know them today were a thing of fantasy when Apollo launched.
It is a completely different ball game today. And the shielding isn’t as complicated. This video is created to make this interesting to the general public. And “fear” sells. “Watch what happens” sells

The computers that sent men to the moon you can now get onto a fly's balls. The radiation affects from long distances and also the radiation belts can kill a modern computer fastest than EMP. The shielding test I suspect are for the electronics but the one of the best shielding is plain water. I watched the moon landings live and do you think at the height of the cold war Russia was not monitoring every thing and would have not have accused the landings as false!!! The technology to fake them was just not available. The moon is nothing it has some resources but the economics to get them would be stupid.
No reason to spend billions to build a base! The main point of the race to the moon was political it was to beat Russia as they had the first satellite then the first man in space the US wanted something to wave about!

J Rizz Scientific theory is theory. Therefore, a theory is a theory and theories are derived by attempts to make a certain phenomena truth. Theory is not fact and they are always being debunked by another theory. Since science is based on theory, it’s their way of placing the “did you read the fine print before signing?” To cover their behinds. Now Pluto isn’t considered a planet anymore??? MrThehbus All except maybe 1 of the Apollo astronauts lived to old age. When they supposedly made journeys through the Radiation Belt, and didn’t die. Now in 2017 NASA is trying to figure out a safe way to go through it again? I have an idea use the same shield you used during Apollo that should work. People will believe nonsense simply because “authority” tells them to.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. So lets explore one of your Little Knowledge areas.
The Van Allen Belts are donut shaped and not homogeneous. The Belts are only a problem while the crews are in them. They don’t stay in them, they travel through them.
Unmanned probes mapped out the Belts and allowed NASA to design routes that took Apollo crews through sparser regions where their total radiation exposure was less than what is normal for chest x-rays. Dose counters for the crews averaged 0.38 rads.
So while the conspiracy prone love to gobble up ideas like the Van Allen Belts wrecking the spaceship electronics or giving the astronauts lethal doses of radiation it’s just one more example of their fondness for special pleading and partial facts.
