I'm thinking of putting a sign on it: "LIARS" the mild merely has 1 unit of hot pepper in it instead of 5 or so. I told the staff--THAT'S STILL HOT! SHEESH. Stomach and esophagus cannot handle it.

I can't stand the thought of anyone I like having to go without guacamole!

2 suggestions. 1. It's pretty easy and tasty just to buy the avacado, mash, add lemon juice and scoop. Seasoning-wise I like a dash of Worcestershire (sp?) Sauce, several dashes of hot sauce but you can leave that off for your esophageal issues. If less lazy add chopped onion, tomato, cilantro or bell pepper for mild guac. Pretty sure you already know all that.

2nd option, I have purchased that premade brand Wholey Guacomole in a truly mild, no spice blend. It comes in a box containing vacuum packed plastic pouches of guacomole. I know it was totally devoid of heat because it was enjoyed by 2 different friends with symptoms as you describe. Cheers to you finding a guac you can tolerate. In my kitchen I refer to guacamole as my Food of God. I am convinced nothing good on earth will come near the least of heaven. Therefore I know, if I eat in heaven, all will taste better than guacamole...with fresh tomato and then fresh peaches for dessert. Ahhhhhh.

Thanks. Yeah, I can make a good guac. I even have ripe tomatoes in my Sonroom. And The brand you listed is available here. Though I tend to prefer that made frm scratch. Loved your kind post.

Barging in for just a moment. But, I just have to say that Cilantro tastes like soap. The hot peppers are fine however.
