I heard at least two other talkers talking about it yesterday. Standard “War On Christmas” story. Used to be the annual Battling Over The Christmas Greeting was the biggest thing we had to fight about. Those were kinder, gentler days.
I’ve made it a personal mission to start saying Merry Christmas to everyone starting the day after Thanksgiving for the last 3 years.
The first year I got some surprised looks and “thanks, you too”. This year I’m getting enthusiastic “Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too!”
I feel like we’ve turned a corner, but have a ways to go yet. I still get a few surprised looks - but I’ll keep at it!
