I blame McCain. It was Senator McCain who, out of spite, voted thumbs-down on repealing ObamaCare
.
I agree with you. So many people listed healthcare as their reason for voting, it was McCain that left that horrible Obamacare in place.
In MA Judges are not elected. So, they are some of the highest paid public people in the commonwealth because they are supposed to be held to the highest level of accountability. If they are not susceptible to bribes, we can trust them.
I am using the same train of thought. I don’t think they need to live like paupers. They have families and lives. They can live where they want.
What I am trying to suggest is that if you pay them a ton and outlaw political contributions, and put a cap on personal wealth, cut out insider trading exclusions, and make them “bribery” safe, we will be better off.
These are supposed to be the best and brightest. We should treat them that way—and expect a lot more from them.
With the anal probe process for anyone wanting to run for Congress, there is no doubt these are not the best people running. We need to change that as well.
Yep, Healthcare was the only issue the Dems were able to get any traction with. We failed and better do better. Yes, that was McCain’s legacy.
A week before the election Mitch said he wants to cut Soc Security and Medicare, to “deal with the deficit”. He couldn’t have done more damage to GOP candidates if he were a paid Dem strategist
yes formally kick out his daughter Meghan McCain... listen to her and it is demacrat talking points.
That's one reason the political class, even from our own party, despise President Trump. He did not pay his party dues, get in line and wait his turn.
In an odd coincidence the Jersey odor began at the same time as the refineries were built and became operational ... strange is it not?
Term limits, no income limits (other than what we pay them), full accounting each and every year they're in office, and they live in controlled housing when in Washtington DC. Paying them more will just make them ever-more greedy and we won't be getting any more work out of them.
What estate matters? Cindy was the one with the money.
