Texas Longhorns head coach Tom Herman might be a good football coach, but over the past few weeks, he's continued to reveal himself as quite a sore loser.
Herman's Texas squad lost a close game to West Virginia on Saturday after Mountaineers quarterback Will Grier threw a last-minute touchdown and then ran the ball in on a two-point conversion with 16 seconds left on the clock to win 42-41 in Austin.
It was a fantastic, gutsy call from West Virginia's head coach Dana Holgorson and it paid off, but here's how Herman responded postgame.

So, goodbye to Texas University.......
So long to the orange and white......
Texas has won nine national championships from NCAA-designated major selectors. [13] : 107-109 The 1963, 1969, 1970, and 2005 championships are claimed by the school, while the remainder are not claimed.
Your sitting in front of a computer and still you you post stupid stuff....again "where are you from"
I love Texas A&M’s fight song. Well the words are nothing extra but the tune is great.
Also like Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Southern Cal and best of them all, Georgia Tech.
I am not a fan of most of those teams just their fight songs.
he was holding the ball in front so that the ball would cross the goal line first. many players do this on running plays,
taunting would be holding it out toward a pursuing player
UT Austin has developed an amazing ability to load its team with 4 star talent while producing 2 star results.
Unsportsmanlike conduct is one thing but “taunting’ is a bs sux penalty.
waaaaaaaaaa
With no defensive players in striking distance? He was in no danger of being stopped.
You ever heard it said that the true measure of another fellow’s intelligence is in just how much he agrees with you?? Well, now you have...and I’ve made the exact same post in some of the pre-season prognostication articles on the “Texas is back” theme...glad to have you on board!
Correct. If we had half of the recruits out at Texas Tech that Texas, Texas A&M, or Oklahoma get, we would run the table. The only explanation is poor coaching. They are probably wishing for Fred Akers or Mack Brown. We are still hoping Mike Leach can come back. There are a lot of Washington State fans in Texas.
Oh, I totally agree! But it's their rule ... I didn't make it up. And no crying here ... they suck - plain and simple.
Yep. *sigh*
Seriously.
Herman’s gripe was that Grier high-stepped into the end zone.
He said that should have negated the score.
Know what else would have negated that score?
Defense.
I took 2 sems at Wazzu before transferring to Stanford. It’s a small school that usually takes a backseat to U Washington or U-Dub’ but now the tables are turned. WSU is ranked higher than UW and Mike Leach is an underrated coach.
PS There were lots of hot chicks at WSU compared to UW back when I was there LOL
I hear ya. What is this, Mr. Rodgers’ World ?
Now THAT'S funny right there!!!
Know it all former Texas athletic director fired Rick Barnes and replaced him with can’t miss Shaka Smart. Shaka hasn’t yer accomplished much at Texas and Barnes has the real UT (Tennessee Vols) ranked 6th preseason.
The WV QB stuck the ball out to make sure hed get a TD. He wasnt taunting. Herman is making a fool out of himself by suggesting that.
*******************************
I’ve never seen a flag for a player reaching the ball out for the goal line. Best example in my experience was when my Spartans’ TE Charlie Gantt scored on a 4th down reception in OT on a fake field goal to beat Notre Dame in 2010.
It is not taunting.
