Election 2018: Have you voted or not?
Self

Posted on 11/06/2018 4:25:59 AM PST by UKrepublican

I just thought it would be useful to hear from fellow Freepers on this election day:

1. Did you vote in 2016? 2. Did you vote today? (if not why?) 3. Any useful observations?

I turned 18 on November 6th, 1984. Election Day. I proudly cast my first presidential ballot for Ronald Reagan.

Today, I turn 52. Election Day again. I will vote straight Republican ticket in about an hour.

Big turnout. I was voter #6. Unfortunately some medical marijuana propositions are going to bring out the liberals en masse.

Yes in 2016. I voted in heavily Democrat Falls Church, VA, at 6:30am. Only a few people in front of me, which is about normal for a non-Presidential election. For my precinct a small turn out is good.

I voted this morning shortly after the polls opened (Dupage County, IL). It was packed, the heaviest turnout I’ve ever seen at this hour for a midterm election (but there is a gubernatorial contest on the ballot, involving a very unpopular Republican governor and a gun-grabbing, trust-fund baby billionaire Democrat. Illinois may be a lost cause.

1. Yes
2. Will vote during my lunch break today
3. Red county in a red state, but I have seen a lot of signs for the Dem candidates for governor and state senate.

The R primary season for governor was tough, the outgoing R had plenty of detractors, and the D candidate seems to have run a decent campaign. It’s Oklahoma, so I think we will win, but I haven’t seen any polling data (despite the number of calls we have received.)

The D state senate candidate here is a young guy who has run to the right of everyone. My thought is if he really was all he says he wouldn’t align himself with the Rat party. He has run a very good campaign, however, and we will see how many he has fooled.

Ha! I just tried to vote, I was a little early (6:15). The lady said I could wait for about 45 minutes and be the first, but I have a job to go to.
Guess I’ll try again after work. MAGA!

If you can find it, try Willet’s Pot Still Reserve. You can’t miss the bottle.

With all the early voting, it is hard to get a feel of whats going on. The local paper said early voting was heavy at the local university yesterday. I voted a few minutes ago and there were no lines.
