College football rankings for week 11 have been released. Alabama remains the top-ranked team, while West Virginia, Syracuse, and Boston College made significant leaps in the polls.
Washington, which clipped Stanford, 27-23, moved into the AP Poll at No. 20.
Syracuse, who defeated Wake Forest, 41-24, surged nine spots to No. 13, due to a combination of their win and losses from other ranked teams. Boston College vaulted seven spots to No. 17 on the strength of a 31-21 victory at Virginia Tech. The Orange and Eagles both made 11-point leaps in the Coaches Poll.
NC State, Iowa State, Michigan State, and Cincinnati all moved into the AP Poll.
Teams that dropped out of the AP Poll include Utah, Houston, Iowa, Virginia, and Texas A&M.
The FCS Coaches Poll will be released on Monday.

“Clemson can. Go Tigers!”
Sing it!!
How can anyone have control if it is destined to happen?
“We shouldnt be ranked.”
Last week Kentucky looked like, well, Kentucky. This Wildcat fan would put Kentucky around 20-25 and then drop out after losing to Tennessee this week.
Well, 29 points.
Losing by 29 to the #1 team is a better loss than losing by 29 to Purdue...
“How can anyone have control if it is destined to happen?”
It depends on which timeline you are living.
Let's look at some of those teams that they've destroyed.
Texas A&M - 3 and 3 and in 4th place in the SEC West - slaughtered them by 2 points.
Syracuse - 3rd place in the ACC-A - whipped them by 3 points.
They did do much better against traditional rivals such as Furman and Georgia Southern, and ran up the scores on folks with losing conference records like 0 and 6 Louisville, 1 and 4 Wake and 2 and 5 FSU.
Again, a travesty that only one team from a Blue State (WSU) is in the top ten. This must be investigated to ensure more fairness in the ranking of college athletics.
Anyone else tired of Norte Dame being ranked 3 playing no one? LSU or Georgia would destroy ND. Granted I am biased.
Purdue beat, tOSU, IOWA, and BC all rated at the time. How does BC get ranked?
At least the schedule is stronger than UCF’s...
Well the top 5 control their own destinies.
How can anyone have control if it is destined to happen?
That phrase drives me up the walk. The sports announcers use it way too often and it doesnt make sense.
... their schedule ...
Clemson did struggle the first part of the season, as their QB situation wasn’t settled.
No, but they may be one of the most improved teams around.
#4 Michigan is "no one"?
Yeah, but Coach Leach is a big-time Trump supporter.
You expect sense out of sportscasters? They are nothing but walking cliches and catchphrases.
Only Clemson has a chance I think, but it's small. This Bama team is a once in a generation assemblage. Defense fired on all cylinders last night. Easily their best performance of the year. They knew they had to step up because they knew their QB was at 75% effectiveness, and the back up (Hurts) was on crutches. A truly remarkable performance. Roll Tide.
Aw, come on now! They played NAVY, who can't help it if they're currently 2-7 and are going to be creamed by Army this year ....
But I think 'Bama's defense is too overwhelming. They were swarming all over LSU last night.
While I don't see anyone beating Alabama it could happen given the right set of circumstances....but it'd be a lot of things breaking right for the other team and a lot breaking bad for 'Bama.
Crazier things have happened though.
