I too liked Roy Clark.

My husband had a call a little before 1 this morning from one of his brothers to say their brother battling cancer lost the battle. They had a time driving through the city picking up other brothers and sisters with so many trees and limbs down on our streets. Police were out helping people find open roads. They reported a road closed to one policeman.

Gosh, I have 57 tweets to look through on one site. Might take some time...LOL

I lost my sister to pancreatic cancer 2 years ago. It’s a hard thing. But the pain is over and that is a blessing.

Have seen some beautiful ceremonies at Marine Barracks 1,all made me cry.

Hubby went off in his Staff Sgt. uniform to be an escort with 2 Marines at an event today.
His uniform is 4 months short of 49 years and it fits.

In the pocket was the business card of the man who saw him at the curb at the airport.

He asked hubby, “Hey soldier where are you coming from? Hubby said Vietnam. Asked him where he was going, hubby told him home. The guy said get in I will take you.

It was about 40 miles out of his way. The guy sold insurance and we bought a policy off him later.

Son checked it out for me and the guy moved to NC and died in 2010 at the age of 72.

It also said he was a registered Democrat.
Told son Democrats were different back then.

I am sorry for your loss. We don’t want our loved one suffering but we don’t want them gone from us either. We wanted them well. Alas, it’s not our choice. Praying for you and all who are grieving.
