Hey Dolly.....I’m here, but not very much. Spending most of the day in bed or the recliner. Leg still quite sore, but I’m down to two painkillers a day. This one was worse than the last. It’s actually gotten me pretty down. Well, this, and the midterms and ensuing antics by the left. Thanks for thinking of me.

It’s snowing here (outside Hamilton, Ontario) as well. Honestly, every time I look outside, my bed looks more comfortable.

Yes, physio says it’s looking fine. I think it’s more mental this time. I just don’t feel like doing the exercises and walking. I’m worn down.

And we here on the TT haven’t been a very uplifting bunch of peeps lately.

I’m sorry for that.

But with each passing day, I realize our President will make lemonade out of this mess.

He’s headed to Paradise, CA to lift those poor folks spirits and he will.

We will ALL get through this together and be stronger and better for it.

A few years back organized the ceremony for the four weeks of advent. We use Hope/prepardness, Peace Joy and Love. The traditional candles Including the center White Christ candle are three purple and a rose/pink. There are many ceremonies available with song and scripture either from your church or on line. . Some churches use available material and share so many use it in their homes too.

It is a periods of preparing to receive the coming of Christ. Since then we have incoporated the placement of a Chris-mon tree (better just look that one up Too long to explain) . And have set up the manger/crèche I wrote a ceremony for both using scripture and song for this year.

In addition we’ve added a new part an explanation of use of greenery (wreaths and of course trees) to celebrate the holidays. Was able to find a sprig of each: holly, ivy, rosemary, laurel, evergreen, mistletoe. Added an explanation about the use and history. Did you know that up to the Victorian period mistletoe was the herb of forgiveness. The sinner held a bough of mistletoe over head, squishing the berries and asked to be forgiven. A kiss on the forehead or cheek was given as a response of forgiveness !

Hopefully it will be a time of worship through music and scripture AND our little church will be decorated too. Yes, we will have food afterward!

Thanks for your prayers. One minute it was raining and it stopped...then I looked out the window and snow was coming down! I was shocked. The trees were starting to straighten up when the snow began.
Romeo led IU with 22 points last night. They beat ranked Marquette (IU not ranked)96-73.
I'm thinking we were lucky to have many of our tress drop their leaves before yesterday. Looking like the ones splitting and breaking still have leaves. Our beautiful tress...sad.
Glad you got home safely and also found what you needed for church.
