The Green Pages:
See a great resource on the web for details on elections, office holders etc.
I have used this resource for years.
HOUSE Right now, it says Republicans have 235 in the House with 7 vacancies and the Democrats hold 193. Of course, all 7 vacant seats will be filled by this election.
SENATE Right now, it says Republicans hold 51, Democrats hold 47 but also have in their caucus 2 Independents.
Let's decide what are predictions are for Wednesday of next week and thereafter.
I predict that the Republicans will gain 4 Senate seats and by later next week we will have 55 Senate Seats in Republican hands. With only 3 or 4 rascals that makes the idiot in Alaska, the RINO in Maine, Sasse and any other temporary idiot unable to control the Republican majority.
I generally make my predictions (un-schooled, ill informed) on Friday or Saturday so I have them to point back to if my big mouth overloads my hummingbird ......
Please add your predictions and related comments. Remember, we want to know the total swing, not just bits and pieces.
We gain 3-5 in the Senate and hold the House.
I think Republicans lose 10 seats in the House but still maintain majority at 225, and gains 4 seats in the Senate.
We lose the House by 10 seats and expand the Senate majority by 4.
House D +40
Senate R +4
GOP takes House and Senate.
Clean Sweep.
The President will govern by Executive Order, much like Obama in his second term. 2020 will see the GOP regain its House majority, after the 2-year hysteria of the post-midterm Dem House majority.
LOL
House - D+30
Senate - R hold at 51-49
The MSM will make early calls in a bunch of races that will be wrong when totals are in. The only thing that matters to them is The Resistance, never mind reputations.
Dont pay off bets until totals are in.
I predict the democrats and their complicit media will blame Russia, racism, and misogyny when their vote fraud is not enough to get the result they want. They will claim that we voted against socialist women because we’re sexist, not because we support freedom. They will claim we voted against far-left black candidates because we’re racist, not because we despise their big government totalitarian agenda. It’s all about identity politics to them, and that gives them a built in excuse when normal people reject their demands for power.
I usually use the NY Times election results. They seem to be one of the faster sources. Most official state results websites lag way behind.
Now, the NYT is behind a paywall or otherwise blocked, so I don’t know about future use.
I will probably watch CNN. I would love to hear Blitzer repeat his famous 2010 line: ‘The Democrats are taking a shellacking tonight.’
I just cannot see the GOP losing many House seats, not with the blistering economic growth, low low unemployment, impressive GDP, massive job creation, etc. I just cannot see the voters handing the House back to the Dems who want to return to high taxes, Obama’s new normal, etc.
House: D + 25
Senate: R 53 - D 47
Senate +6 to +10.
I think there will be some surprise Republican pick ups
The two to watch are Stabenow who I think WILL lose to John James. Mendez may lose.
McCaskill is gone
Sinema loses
Tester is gone
Nelson is gone
No sitting Republican Senator will lose.
I think the Republicans hold the house. I am not sure by how much but it could be any where between a -5 to +20 for the Republicans.
I think Wednesday morning the riots start in California and Eeeew Yuck Slimy
I predict that the DemonRats will piss and moan before they start screaming and protesting.
The democrats will cheat and the media will lie as often as possible about the results
Red Wave - Several Lefty media personalities shoot themselves on live tv. God smiles.
Hold the house, barely, by 5 seats or so, just enough to make Nancy cry. Pick up 5 Senate seats.
Agreed!
Both sides seem like they are whistling past the graveyard. Polls are all over the place. In this case I would predict the historical average. Dems pick up 35 seats to win the House and but the Rinos keep the Senate at 51. That may sound disappointing but it would beat a blue tsunami. Votes from young suburban women is the difference (healthcare and Trump’s demeanor).
