It's not rocket science to stop the crowd. I have other excellent ideas, but need to be approached and those ideas requested in person. You have to know the culture.

I mean most people, including uneducated ones, know the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. So, going north is not that difficult. Your points about illiteracy are true, and there is certainly some outside influence leading the charge...but the point about not being able to read a map is irrelevant. We have 40 million illegals in the country...if reading a map was the problem, surely 20 million of those would’ve ended up in Panama or Brazil?

Take out the supply line. They aren’t carrying food/water and the places they pass don’t have that much extra.

If we can’t take out the staging areas and/or vehicles without being detected we have much bigger problems in our military than 7000-14000 future Democrats marching through Mexico. And if we can take it out they stop in 1-2 days

As someone pointed out to me yesterday, there are several people in lime-green fluorescent vests who seem to be leading and keeping the herd from straying off the path.

Take a look at the next picture you see of the mobs mobbed up together. You will find the same kind of sneakers, baseball caps & hats, t shirts, etc. Somebody is supplying these people with bulk purchases as well.

This hoard is not just living off the land. Someone is providing not only guides, but food, water and sanitation supplies not to mention transportation. Imagine the huge amounts of human waste this crowd generates. The trail should be as feces covered as San Francisco and filled with trash, yet photos seem not to show this. Someone is providing massive sanitation for the hoard.

They don’t need maps for a few miles at best during the photo ops.

But during the real travels, only the lorry drivers need to know how to read a map.

Does anyone have a clue what port of entry they're headed to?

Are their any legitimate (or maybe appropriate is the word by which I mean not neo-nazi or KKK) groups organizing a, let's call it a crusade to oppose this invasion. Think about it, 10,000 or more armed patriots (and you could probably get that many military veterans alone) headed to a confrontation at the border would FORCE the government to take some kind of action.

“Latin Americans are excellent at land marking once they’ve been somewhere, but not reading maps.”

That must be true. Columbus was Italian, but sponsored by the original Latins, the Spanish. He was trying to get to India and took a wrong turn at the Doldrums.

They don't need maps. They can follow the smell of money wafting from up north.

This is the most idiotic thread I’ve seen in a long time. I travel in Mexico regularly. There are road signs everywhere. Not hard to tell where you’re going.

But clearly they are being provided food and water. My guess is between photo ops they are riding buses.

This nitwit never heard of GPS, which probably 90% of the smartphones in that crowd have on it?

Even without GPS, there's the Pan-Am hiway, which runs from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, all the way to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, and which everybody in Latin America DOES know leads to the land of WalMart and Taco Bell. Just walk to the Pan-Am hiway, then it's as simple as "Follow the yellow brick road."
