My husband was 20 years older than me. That picture was taken about 8 years ago. I wish I could say that still looked exactly like me, but I’d be lying. :)

I’m so very sorry. I remember you’d mentioned once that he was older than you and so, you’d retired early to make the most of the remaining years. You chose well. May you feel the presence of the God of comfort more strongly at this difficult time.
May the blessings of God continue to be bestowed upon you and your family. Seems like you have many wonderful memories to be able to reflect upon for comfort. If we can leave good memories and better people behind, we have been successful on this journey.

Thanks for the head’s up. I am an elected official and I am totally non anonymous. I have been posting on Facebook since 1998 when my Dad brought me in. Everyone here grieved with me when he passed away in 2000. I feel like it’s family. (Especially the crazy ones.)
So sorry such joy cannot last forever in this world.
